Why did the truck driver tailgate me down a hill

I was going down a hill maybe like 7 percent grade through a construction zone with a 40 mph speed limit, the road speed limit is normally 80.

There was a car in front of me going the exact speed limit and I had a 2 second gap behind him. But this massive 18 wheeler was a literal foot behind me. If I had to hit the brakes for any reason he would've demolished my car.

This continued for 3 minutes and I'm just stressing, and I decided to swerve around the cones into the construction zone just to let him pass. Luckily their was no construction workers but wtf why did the truck driver do that to me?

Lifting has killed my swimming

I am a competitive swimmer who is writing this after one of the worst workouts in my life, who started lifting 2 months ago to get stronger, faster, and more aesthetic. I was 6 feet 175 pounds and now I am 190 pounds at 23 years old, my body and my strength have improved like crazy. Especially my lower body.

But ever since I started lifting my swim times have become significantly slower each week. Like a lot slower. I was swimming 400s coming in at 4:20 (scy). But now I can barely get under 5 minutes. Wtf??

I think it may be the muscle causing me to sink and some loss in mobility. But I didn't think I would be this much slower. I still plan on continuing lifting because I enjoy it but seriously what gives? I even took a week off assuming it was because of fatigue, but I still swam bad times
