New M1 here, not new to Anki. Current strategy has been watching lecture at higher speed, then watching related B&B, and unsuspending Anking cards by B&B tag. However there’s a ton of cards with each unsuspension that are not covered in my lecture material and thus not used in my NBME CAS exams. Is the strat to suspend stuff I’ve never seen (e.g., hypospadias) and if so, when do I unsuspend it again?

Looking for either indoor or outdoor, with cheap ammo and lane prices. Not looking to rent anything.

I have roommates currently but would prefer they’re not involved in my CCW process. Can I name my dating partner as one of my five references and name no cohabitants? Can I name a former cohabitant and not my current roommates? How serious are they about having a current cohabitant for character references?

Been living in Los Angeles for six years, have a driver’s license, voter record, all of that. Whole time I’ve rented apartments from small family-owned management companies. Have never once had a utility bill in my name, since management would rather handle that themselves. Thus, I’ve never been in a position to get my CCW.

I’m moving into a large apartment complex that has us responsible for our own water, electric, etc. However, the management expressly forbids possessing weapons in the terms of the lease.

I’m already inclined to not apply for my CCW, but please humor the hypothetical just so I understand the procedures that LA County Sheriff’s Department undergoes to do background checks, interviews, and issuance.

If I were to change my driver’s license address to this nee apartment and set up utilities in my name, would using this apartment’s utility bills as a means to prove my residency get me into any kind of legal trouble? Never mind the lease violation, as I don’t plan on management finding out I own a registered firearm, but would LA Sheriff’s procedures ever run them into the knowledge that I’m not supposed to have a gun on the property that I’m using to apply? Does their department reach out to landlords/property managements as a routine part of their checks? I absolutely do not want any run-ins with the law over this.

MacBook user running latest version of Tahoe. Downloaded Anki version 26.5, signed in, all is well. Shut down laptop and when I restart I have to re-install the file. Never had this issue on older OS/Anki versions. FWIW, the file is on my desktop and it has an “eject” option as opposed to deleting. How do I stop this so that I can just open the damn app whenever I boot up my laptop?

I needed a screen replacement for my Macbook Pro 13”with the M1 chip, which I’ve had since late 2020. I had my Time Machine backup made on Big Sur, which is what I’ve been running for the last few years, but the “Geniuses”updated it to Tahoe during the repair, claiming that they needed to do this to run their tests.

I kept mine on Big Sur originally to run plugins on Logic Pro via Rosetta Stone, but I don’t really need that any more. I want to hear the CliffsNotes of what I’ve missed in the last few operating systems and if it’s worth keeping Tahoe, or if not, which MacOS I should roll back to.

Obviously, if there’s some constraint to what I can do with my Time Machine, let me know, as keeping my data is the priority here.
