Remember Fires of the Anthropocene? (I'm changing the name by the way) well I haven't abandoned it, its just been on a hiatus. Anyways I've been working on one of the nations New Saxony, though I can't really decide which flag to use so I decided to let you guys choose.

In short summary, New Saxony is located in southwestern Equestria(see image 6, to the west of the dotted line), as the name would suggest New Saxony was founded as a colonial state of the Saxon Empire, which was essentially used as a place of exiled for any liberal with anti-monarchical views, the rationale being better they revolt all the way over there in Equus and not at home. In the present New Saxony is autonomous region of Equestria, like South Severyana. New Saxony has a culture similar to Texas with German characteristics and Appleloosian influences. Finally New Saxonians are regarded as a generally progressive and welcoming people

Hello everypony, some months ago I made posts about this same topic on the other sub, today I decided to make another one, this time on this sub and 3 other diseases to see y'alls opinions on the topic. (Yes I know MLP Infections AUs are like 3 years old already)

1. Cephalovirus (Image 1) by RoboSquid

First off we have the Cephalovirus. In short the Cephalovirus is an eldritch-esque virus that ravaged Equestria and drove all pegasi and unicorns extinct, leaving only the Earth ponies who had to cut off their cutie marks to prevent infection. The virus only affects ponies and spreads through magical contact. The virus origins and exact functions are unknown.

Now as to how I believe the world of EAW would fare. in the AU Equestria seemed to have collapsed in a very short time after the infection began, EAW Equestria I think would fare better when it comes to fighting the infected but I still think it would be able to overrun Equestria due to its methods of infection as it seemed that infection was extremely easy to the point the survivors had to cut off their cutie marks and even then they can still succumb. From there depending on the interpration of how the Virus works, it could easily reach New Mareland, Aquilea and Zebrica even with harsh quarentine methods ravaging the Pony populations before finally burning through the Riverlands and probably Kiria.

2. MLP: Magic is Dead (Image 2) by Starline

This time the virus has no name given to it, so I'll call it the Blight for easier explanation. The Blight is essentially, the decay of magic, it rots away all the magic it comes into contact with. How do you get infected? Either by body fluids or magically interacting with any infected not matter how minor that magical interaction was. As for what happens when you get infected you either rot away until you die or b, become a zombie hostile to anything that comes close and eventually die. Now how fast the process takes depends on how magically atune you are. Have telekinesis? You have no hope, so basically that's changelings, unicorns and kirins out, interact a lot with magic like Pegasi? You are also doomed just slower, and so on until you the infection barely progresses. Like earth ponies that take way longer than unicorns or pegasi before reaching the final stages, but will succumb nonetheless even way less magically atuned creatures like Griffons or zebras will still eventually succumb to the virus even if it takes decades. Now I think this virus could easily ravage the whole planet, as there's no conventional cure and any spell you could use will result in your inmediate infection. In the story the virus is ended by using the Elements of Harmony along with the tree of harmony saving the world and curing all infected that weren't dead back to full health at the cost of their lives, so unless EAW's mane 6 do the same the world will eventually became a dead world with the more magical species dying off first until maybe centuries later the last remnants of life on the planet die off, if they do use the elements with the tree, the world will be saved but left deeply scared from the event.

3. Virus Z by idrawthing_s

Finally we have Virus Z, this is essentially the Walking Dead: My little Pony edition, so your standard slow zombies. Now this virus will probably cause some trouble but won't take long before its contained, so for this one assume a full apocalypse happens

Finally for all 3, the virus starts spreading on the start date of normal EAW, so Jan 1st, 1007
(Also the second one began because Twilight tried to create a healing potion and failed.)
