Guess what? KCL'S ONE OF THE FEW UNIS IN THE UK TO NOT HAVE A SKYDIVING SOC!

We're in the process of setting up a Skydiving Society at our uni - something that loads of unis across the UK already have. KCLSU has rejected our request to be ratified without citing a credible reason, so we're looking into running this society independently by partnering with brands, accredited dropzones, and skydiving societies from other universities. As we can't be a part of the Welcome Fair hosted by KCLSU, we're using Reddit as our way of reaching more students.

Whether you're a licensed skydiver who wants to meet other fun jumpers, wanna get licensed, or just wanna try it once as a tandem: if skydiving is something you've ever thought about, this is your chance.

BLUE SKIES BABY 🪂🔥🤘

Hey! My friend and I (both 20M) are gonna visit Albania and Montenegro next week and wanted to hear what you guys think about our itinerary. We don't have IDPs so unfortunately cannot rent a car and have to rely on public transport, which is why we unfortunately have to miss out on gems like Lumi i Shala and Osum Canyon.

Day 1 — Sun 14 Jun | Tirana → Kotor

Land 9AM. Breakfast in Blloku, quick wander. Afternoon bus to Kotor (about 5 hours). Arrive early evening, dinner, early night.

Day 2 — Mon 15 Jun | Kotor

Up early for the fortress walls. Old town and lunch. Afternoon: cable car + alpine coaster or a boat trip on the bay. Dinner, early night.

Day 3 — Tue 16 Jun | Kotor → Budva

Relaxed morning, then bus to Budva (about 45 min). Beach afternoon, settle in. Old town in the evening, seafood dinner.

Day 4 — Wed 17 Jun | Budva

Cliff jumping at Mogren Beach. Coastal walk to the Sveti Stefan viewpoint (about 45 min each way). Seafood dinner. Early night — big day tomorrow.

Day 5 — Thu 18 Jun | Tara River Rafting

Early pickup from Budva. Full day rafting the 18km Tara Canyon — transport and lunch included. Back in Budva by early evening. Easy dinner, pack up.

Day 6 — Fri 19 Jun | Budva → Tirana → Sarandë

Very early bus to Tirana, then south to Sarandë — arrive late afternoon. Castle ruins at sunset, seafood dinner (maybe clubbing).

Day 7 — Sat 20 Jun | Blue Eye + Ksamil

Early shared taxi to the Blue Eye spring. Back by late morning, then bus to Ksamil. Kayaking out to the islands, cliff jumping, easy dinner.

Day 8 — Sun 21 Jun | Ksamil → Tirana → Flight

Leave Ksamil early afternoon. Back to Tirana by evening — dinner in Blloku, a shooting range session, then taxi to the airport for a 2AM flight.

We're aware that cash is king in both countries, we should convert our currency to ALL/EUR at designated zyra këmbimis and that we should expect inconsistencies and delays with the transport. We've also heard that everything's shut on Sundays so we should stock up the day before. Is there anything else we should be aware of? Perhaps any tips?
