Our live-action trailer inspired by the arcade era
About 6 months ago, we attended a convention for indie games with WingWhiz. After the convention, based on the feedback we received, we decided that we needed to shoot a trailer for the game.
We spent a few weeks looking for ideas until a friend of ours who works on video production suggested making a live action trailer for the game, and that immediately made our decision clear. We thought this idea fit both the overall feeling of the game and the original idea behind it. Since the game’s developer, u/ozg58, grew up with arcade games, we thought we could reflect the retro atmosphere of the game better this way. There is even a small flashback scene in the video as a reference to this :)
When the shoot day came, we set everything up at our friend’s house and completed the shoot in one day. After months of editing and sleepless nights, the day has finally come, and now we are sharing the video with you.
I also want to give a small update on the current state of the game. After the feedback we received, we decided to add a roguelike system to the game’s arcade structure. These days, we are working hard to design that system and integrate it into the game. We are also excited to share a gameplay trailer and a roadmap with you soon.
