Bullet Train advice (Typhoon cancellations!)

Hi all,
Wanted to reach out and ask for some advice.
Currently I’m in Osaka, where we’re due to have a typhoon land. Were meant to be going to USJ today, then travelling back to Tokyo tomorrow (it’s my 30th birthday tomorrow).

From what I’ve read online, bullet trains are cancelled during this weather.

I’m not sure what the right thing to do is, as I don’t want to be stranded in Osaka tomorrow but I also don’t want to go prematurely. Thanks!

Typhoon today - what happens to USJ?

Hi all
Meant to be going to USJ today with Express Pass 7s. However pretty worried about the upcoming typhoon, and the weather here in Osaka is pretty bad.

What happens usually in this scenario? Can’t see much on the website

Flying tomorrow

Hello!

Flying on my first long haul flight in almost 13 years tomorrow from LHR to Tokyo on a 777 (stopping at Vienna!)

Absolutely terrified of flying as during Covid I (stupidly) watched all the available seasons of air crash investigation. Not sure what specifically I am afraid of, but the entire time I am terrified. I think of all kinds of scenarios that could cause a plane crash, an issue in the air, etc. I know statistically you are safer in a plane than anywhere else, but it still makes my heart race at the thought.

Any advice? As today I have been an anxious wreck since I woke up 🥲

Anxious flier

Hi all

I have GAD, and my anxiety over the last few years hasn’t been too life crippling (I have been to a lot of therapy. Previously I was anxious about everything and anything). However, one of my major fears is flying. This is due to (self inflicted) covid watching of air crash investigation. Before that, I was fine. Now, flying gives me horrendous anxiety and makes me feel like I’m going to be sick the entire time. I constantly feel like the plane could crash, or something could happen.

I haven’t been to the doctors about this, as I’ve taken the tablets that they would recommend previously and it didn’t not end well. Ive spoken to my therapist and the advice she gave wasnt the most helpful (just to breathe, which i do, i also listen to music and prepare different activities to do to keep my mind busy)

I fly tomorrow to Japan, it’s an 18 hour travel day, and whilst I can’t wait to be there, the flight is terrifying me. I’ve had several panic attacks today, and currently feeling extremely nauseous.

Any suggestions to support with this so I can be excited for the holiday?
