My wife and I traded quotes with Eomer this weekend!

We bought an autograph ticket at a comic con on Saturday. When we got to the table I introduced myself and said “this is my wife…”, who said “you tell me your name horse-master, and I shall tell you mine” (she’s not even a big LOTR fan). He responded with “what business does a man and his wife have in the Riddermark? Speak quickly!” Then he signed the photo with an extra sentence for free.

Great chap and a really good sport, considering he probably heard these quotes a million times that day. Very first cast member I’ve met!

Questions/Thoughts on Evening with the Hobbits

Hi everyone

My wife is treating us for my birthday to the Evening with the Hobbits in Philadelphia. I’m really excited - have loved these guys since I was 9 years old and seeing them is gonna be so awesome.

A couple questions on this event for anyone who knows / has attended a prior one:

- we bought one backstage pass and one gold ticket. Does that seem like an OK strategy so we can still sit together? Since we are together we didn’t want to buy 2x the autographs and photo ops

- do we redeem these photos/signings at or after the panel, or do they just give us the tickets to use whenever they’re doing their sessions?

Bonus question: this all happens on Friday and we want to get an Orlando Bloom autograph on Saturday. Do you think if I bring a trading card to sign, that needs to be a “premium” autograph ticket, or can you get away with buying the “8x10” tier. I don’t want to accidentally overpay, but also want to follow the rules properly.

Thanks everyone for your time, take care,
