I'm new to cosplay! Currently working on one for Zatanna. She's fairly underrepresented in DC stuff so there's not really a clear-cut "accurate" look for her outside of the big picture stuff (top hat, magician's coat, leotard, etc.). I'm taking parts from different looks of hers to create my ideal version because there isn't a particular adaptation that nails it for me. Is this type of "inaccuracy" frowned upon within the cosplay community or is it totally common?

I'm a New Yorker traveling to the West Coast for the first time! I will be spending a few weeks in LA in July for work (also gonna be a bit of a vacation). I know the fashion is different over there but I'm not quite sure in what way. My personal style is pretty alternative and can lean a bit boho in the summer, which I think might be fitting over there?
