Olaplex 3 on Relaxer Day?

I’m getting my relaxer touch up today and I’m wondering if I should bring my Olaplex No 3 with me to the salon to use it after my relaxer?

Should I get my stylist to use it after she washes the relaxer out ? If so, should I deep condition my hair immediately after the Olaplex treatment?

Unfortunately the woman who does my hair isn’t great when it comes to styling/treating natural hair (she’s mainly a braider) so she isn’t someone I can ask for advice.

Can an employer check if you have a full license?

Hi all,

My cousin, early 30s, started driving late in life and has been waiting to do his test. However he got a job 6 months ago and didn’t realise that it would require so much site travel. Because of this he’s been driving to and fro from different locations on his provisional (have already warned him about what can happen if he’s stopped but says the car is practically essential for the job - but to clarify he is a good driver tbf).

The reason I’m posting on his behalf is because he’s been paying for his petrol on his own dime since technically he doesn’t have his license. His employer has never actually requested a copy of his license but asked for a VRT Cert, a Letter of indemnity from his insurance and The insurance cert itself so he can get paid for mileage . He’s put it off though as he’s paro that they’ll be able to find out his license status through his insurance - is that even possible?

I feel bad as obviously the price of petrol has gone up in the last few months so he’s essentially burning through money until he gets to do his test. My employer didn’t require the following - we just input the mileage, so I cant offer him any advice but I said I’d ask here. Thanks in advance.

Was I scammed by a taxi driver?

Hi all

I got a taxi last night with friends and 10 minutes after the taxi dropped us off and left I realised I left my bag in the car. Thankfully my friend who ordered the taxi was able to call him however he said at that point he was done his shift and wouldn’t be able to return the bag. He offered to give it to a “friend” who can drive to town and return it, in which I said please don’t, as my house keys, bank cards, passport card etc was in my purse and I don’t know who your friend is. Because he said he was nearby cherrywood, he said he’d drop it in the Garda station there. I asked him if it was possible to return it to the Garda station in Stepaside as that’s close to where I live but honestly I was happy to do whatever was convenient at the end of the day.

This is where things got really odd, he agreed to do that and then when I said perfect can I just get your name and number cause I imagine I’ll need it for when I pick it up from the Garda station (i assumed that was how it worked). He absolutely refused and then said no and how he’ll only now speak to the person who ordered the taxi. I found it really weird because I was just so grateful that he had the bag in the first place and was so thankful to him. He then told my friend he’s not going to go Garda station and will only return the bag at a cost. At this point he was being so difficult so we just agreed. It cost me €60 to get my bag back from the city centre. I can’t even remember a time where I’ve paid €60 for a journey let alone to receive a lost belonging which he initially offered to drop in the Garda station and then refused. Is this how things usually work or did he just fleece me?

Hard protein treatment before braids - yay or nay?

Hi all! I can’t really seem to see any advice about this online so I thought I’d ask this trusty subreddit!

I’m getting knotless braids tomorrow and I’m wondering if it’s a wise idea to do Aphogee two step protein treatment tonight before I get them done tomorrow??

It’s been over two months since my last protein treatment and I’ve used quite a bit of heat in the last few weeks so it’s probably not the strongest. I asked chat gpt and it advised me NOT to do a hard protein treatment, stating that it could be too much for my hair before braids.

Hi all! I’m newish to park run (just hit 10 woo!) and I have my half marathon next Sunday. I’m in between whether or not I should park run on Saturday as a shakeout run? I know it’s important to get as much rest before race day so I’m in two minds on what to do!

Also before anyone adds - I will try and volunteer even if I don’t run but I’d prefer to run instead so I’m looking for some advice/opinions.
