The infamous “Tupac is alive” rumors are about to end.

After the release of the new autopsy photo, there should be no more discussions about Pac still being alive. Unfortunately, he’s no longer of this Earth.

Seeing his body so swollen and his right ring finger damaged, just confirms all the stories his peers told about how his appearance changed in his final days in the hospital.

Not a lot of brotherhood like this in Hip Hop, anymore. Biggie and Diddy weren’t ashamed or too cool to show their affection for one another in public.

u/yesmhm1 — 15 days ago

Diddy & Biggie had a certain taste for sure!

Is this one of those Biggie lyrical classics his fans be talking about?

He looked like his Pops, with his mom’s eyes and facial expressions.

They couldn’t deny Pac if they wanted to 😂🙏🏾

Biggie was a cap rapper. The first Rick Ross.

His own mom exposed him, yet everyone acts as if he was the realest 😂💀 man lied about his entire life to sell records.

Rare, quick footage of Drakeo The Ruler still conscious after having his throat slashed.

As you can see, he’s being tended to. He looks to be holding his throat.

Interesting POV: Did California Hip Hop fall victim to it’s own mainstream success in the 90’s and early 00’s?

Mainstream Hip Hop has been Southern property for so long, people forget how much California ran shit at one point.

LA Hip Hop popped off during the 1990’s “Golden Era” of black culture AND entertainment. They were the faces of the street society and gang culture, to the mainstream world. Warren G, Snoop, Dre, Eazy, Suge, Natt Dogg, NWA ect were the culture. Their lingo, fashion and signature G-Funk sound became synonymous with Hip Hop and street culture. They dominated black/urban movies; Menace 2 Society, Boyz In The Hood, ect. They’re ALL household classics in the urban community. West Coast became the mainstream representation of the street and urban world of the 90’s.

With that said, by the mid 2000s, the West Coast culture and sound was so mainstream, it became more associated with movies and tv, than popular Hip Hop music.

98% of Cali rappers since then, walk with the confidence of all the history I mentioned, so they double down on the sound and felt like they never really evolved. They sound extremely dated and stuck in the past. Which is why they don’t blow up anymore, unless they have a style that doesnt just reflect being a LA Gangster(Kendrick, Nip, Roddy, even Drakeo)

ANOTHER RARE EXCLUSIVE! Pac directing traffic from the side of the stage, during his Cleveland show in ‘96.

You can see how energetic and involved he was from this clip.

Rare ‘96 footage of Michael Jordan and Tupac Shakur in their primes, in the same building.

February 2, 1996. Lakers vs Bulls. Jordan just scored, then you can see Tupac and Suge walking to their floor seats.

YG vs The Game Verzuz

YG smoked Game, like I said he would. The ones who thought Game was gonna win, are the ones who can’t let go of 2005 and still wear G-Unit tank tops. Everyone knows Game ain’t got that many big tracks and YG has too many.

Game fans thought “before social media” nostalgia rap was gonna save him.

The Undertaker w| Paul Bearer, returns as “The Deadman” @ Wrestlemania 20

This was the first PPV I was able to see in full. The buildup to this match was elite. Everyone was ready to see Taker return as his “Undead” self.

In typical Pac fashion, he put emphasis on wanting a “real, reallll sad” tune 😂🐐

He visibly tired and drained, yet he won’t chill at all. Theres work to be done! Mamba Mentality!

Tupac surprise interview on 93.3 radio. February 1996.

He mentions ODB and how he and Snoop were working on getting a radio show called “California Love” put on The Beat

Early 00’s Smackdown opening was different. The intro music + video package, the pyro and loud crowd sounded like a Rock concert and the passionate commentary to top it off!

This was the norm back then. 9-10yr old me would get chills every time, then the pyro and commentary would have me pumped & ready for those 2 hours of prime WWE product!

98% of Pac’s diss tracks were never supposed to be released

I think this is accidentally overlooked by a lot of ppl, even his fans & it distorts Pac’s image frfr. Making him seem more bitter/reckless in 96 than he was. Suge did Pac a major disservice dropping all those diss tracks, when Pac was gone. The true timeline will show Pac wasn’t the bully everyone acted like he was. Ima be honest, I used to hear interviews from him saying media is “gassin the beef” & he aint really pressin it like that no more & I would be like “nahhh Pac lmaoo you dropped hella sht against them” but he actually didnt. He said he had songs talkin crazy to keep himself from really hurtin them, but he never dropped them. Thats a fact.

Pac didnt drop these following, POPULAR diss songs. In his world, they never saw the light of day & his fans never heard him ventin his frustrations:
Bomb First
Against All Odds
When We Ride On Our Enemiez
Watch Ya Mouth
Why U Turn On Me?
NY87
Fuck Friendz

So we think of 96 Pac, we think of those toxic ahh diss songs & go “bruh he changed frfr! he was puttin out pure smoke & pressin them boys! He was HOT! He was ready to die or kill frfr!” when in reality, he never wanted those songs out

Those diss tracks were supposed to be private, pissed off venting that we werent supposed to hear. Realizing this makes me feel bad for Pac. Thats like someone exposing your bitter diary/poetry to the world after you die, now the world thinks you were some crashout. Thats fucked up on Suge’s part.

FUN FACT: The ONLY diss tracks that Tupac HIMSELF dropped while alive, where Hit Em Up & Holla At Me. Meaning, he only actually dissed them on track once while alive, cause Holla At Me was all subliminal.

Nostalgia on Social Media hits different for 80s & 90s babies.

93 baby here ..i just wanna say that when you see us millennials reminiscing online, it’s different than 2k babies. Way more intimate & heartfelt. We’re the last generation with pre-internet memories.

You see us engaging with each other over cultural moments that didn’t occur online or on a phone app. Our childhood memories can’t be found by scrolling down a timeline. We bond with strangers around the world, over shared memories from a time when you had to be there & didn’t know what the next state had going on.

Example: nowadays you can just use a hashtag, stream the BET Awards online & chat about it in real time with the world. Or have endless ways to it right back if you missed it ect.

On June 24, 2003 ..when Michael Jackson and James Brown cut up on the BET stage? You had to be in front of that tv & only HOPE/IMAGINE others around the world were doin the same.

When you see Millennials online reminiscing over 106&Park or Nickelodeon episodes? It’s a real nostalgic situation, cause its memories you cant get from a highlight reel. You had to be there.

I just think thats hella cool & world bonding

2007-2008 may have been the last prime years of WWE product.

I swear I feel like I noticed the change in their product style, during that John Cena v Chris Jericho fued at the end of ‘08. The edge was somehow gone. It happened so randomly & with the rise of internet/social media (Twitter ect) in 09’, it started a product decline that would never return to original form.

2009 was only decent because of the Jeff Hardy/CM Punk fued. After that, things COMPLETELY fell off. The edgiest thing about the company in 2009, was Randy Orton. even still, yall know “Psycho Orton” was tame compared to what we were accustomed to.

2007 WWE & 2009 WWE are only 2years apart, yet look & feel like totally different worlds.

What you guys think?

SN: I’m sure the Benoit situation had some influence, but I think they took the cookie cutter direction too far❕
