He confirmed what the gastro told me that these doctors prescribe Flagyl (metronidazole) but that doesn’t do anything for cdiff so that was such a waste of time! If you get cdiff go to a gastro asap because general Drs just don’t know about this some don’t stay up to date since they aren’t specialists. Once they switch me to Vanco I felt better. And he says the Vanco can’t be just 7-10 days that’s not enough time it’ll just come right back and I get vowst at the end of this long dose of Vanco and hopefully that’ll work.

Im thinking of getting the up because its cuter and not as loud as my pop+ but I want to know if it works well with the refillable pods?

How long did it take for your diarrhea to stop once you started Vanco?

Did you stool got normal after the antibiotics for c diff or during? How long did it take for you to have a normal shape stool?

How long have you guys been on vancomycin for recurrent cdiff? My doctor put me on 28 days of Vanco because recurrent cdiff I’m on day 7 and I don’t have diarrhea anymore but she says I have to do the 28 days and then vowst. But I see everyone here saying they do 10 days only? Have any of you been on vancomycin for 28 days?

I’ve been on day 7 of vancomycin, I don’t really have diarrhea anymore just maybe once in the morning but it’s soft like a blob. What do you guys eat besides potato crackers and rice?? I get bloated so easily I’m afraid to eat anything. The bloating is unreal now but the Dr says that’s normal idk I’m so frustrated pls help

My pcp had me re test for c diff just 2 weeks after the first test because I still have diarrhea after taking metro and it is positive for toxins just like the first time. But it’s only been 2 weeks so can the positive be a false positive because it’s too soon? I feel like I just have pi ibs instead but how can I confirm that? Have any of you re test this soon?

So this is the second time I test positive for c diff but it’s only been like a month and I took metro the first time for 7 days only. Have any of you taken vanco for this long? Seems excessive idk I’m just so overwhelmed and new to this.
