Would anyone be interested in a young veterans social group on Long Island?

I’m an Army veteran from Long Island and had an idea I wanted to run by everyone.

It seems like there are plenty of veterans organizations, but I haven’t found many groups focused on younger veterans (roughly 21–38) who just want to get together and have fun.

I’m thinking brewery nights, beach days, sporting events, hiking, BBQs, fishing, golf, game nights, weekend trips, and just meeting other veterans.

Not another organization with meetings or obligations—just a community.

I’d also welcome Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve members.

If something like this existed, would you join?
What kinds of events would actually get you to come out?

Would any younger veterans on Long Island actually be interested in this?

I’m a younger Army veteran on Long Island, and I’ve noticed something.

There are plenty of great organizations like the VFW and American Legion, but I haven’t found many social groups specifically geared toward younger veterans (roughly ages 21–38).

I’m not talking about another organization with meetings or fundraising.
I’m talking about a group whose main purpose is simply getting together and having a good time—brewery nights, beach days, hikes, sporting events, BBQs, golf, fishing, game nights, weekend trips, and just making friends with other veterans who are in a similar stage of life.

The idea isn’t to replace the VFW or any other veterans organization. It’s to give younger veterans and currently serving Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve members a way to stay connected after service or outside of drill weekends.
Would you join something like this if it existed on Long Island?

Not another organization with meetings or obligations—just a community.

I’d also welcome Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve members.

I’d also love to hear:

●What kinds of events would actually get you to show up?

●What’s missing from the current veteran community?

●If you wouldn’t join, why not?

Just trying to see if there’s genuine interest before putting time into building something.
