The pictures were posted recently, here is the article! Very interesting questions, I advise to take the time to read it.

Memento Mile : before / after (side building)

Cafeteria still unfinished and the little side building with toilets and such might not stay forever (I don't remember, maybe I did it to just have a higher museum level to unlock a star)

Also, I did that before that extremely helpful post explaining that forcing guests to go though cafeterias and gift shops to attain a goal is not a good idea...

I might shorten the cafeteria to have an entry leading to the prehistoric artefacts directly but I'll keep my gift shop as is I think... Or create public corridor by shortening the staff zone?

"Unreachable" reachable item... Any idea how to fix it?

The artefact can be reached if I put it outside elsewhere in my museum, but is unreachable as soon as I put in here in a square position with 3 other pieces. You can see that clearly people can actually reach it, walk around it, etc. There is a lot of space around it.

I exchanged 2 of the 4 arches, the same problem appears at the same spot. I don't get why it's not working (I actually stole the idea seeing someone put 4 pieces like that on this sub)

I also tried to put the pieces further away from each other, still the same corner is marked unreachable

Took me 210h and a random click by accident to discover we have a grid when decorating...

Sometimes I struggle to align or respect symmetry, and a grid was there all along...

Disclaimer : I'm not trying to decorate the space you see on the pic, it's just a gathering of botanic stuff that I keep there for some money and buzz while redoing other parts of my museum. I was randomly throwing foliage in here. So yes it looks like s**t haha

Perberly Heights: an emotional journey

I'll preface by saying I LOVE Astral Anomalies. I love the interaction between pieces, I love the look of them all, I love the puzzle aspect of it, the hunt for the missing piece that will create a magical reaction when you gather everything.

Now for the journey... Ofc I didn't understand at first what it would be once all pieces are found. PIC 1 = I started a "cute corner" with some pieces, that got more and more crowded as I realized the new anomalies needed the other ones, and such.

Then I work on other museums, and when I come back I understand better the artefacts I need to gather, I understand better the touring and buzz benefice of gathering pieces of one theme together, I rework my museum layout and think "I'll put them all together in one room" = PICS 2-3.

But then, maybe thanks to this sub, I understand that... I still don't understand the full picture of how they all interact together. PICS 4-5-6 I organize my analysis to check what goes together, what I'm missing, and where will go what I'm missing. I find everything.

I'M READY PIC 7

I start my plan of putting everything together nicely, with decorations, symmetry, and spend much time on it = PICS 8-9-10-11

But when I'm done there's something off. Not centered? Badly decorated? A mix of everything. I spent hours on it, for it to look like sh*t.

PICS 12-13-14 is today, I took the time to redo everything after contemplating my screen for many minutes, like contemplating the void. I'm now happy with the result, though while I'm writing this I realize I don't have any interactive display and no info stand. When you think you're done...

Disclaimer: I see the works of art you all post here, I'm not pretending I managed to have a museum look as good as yours, but I'll just say I'm pleased with the final result and I'm quite confident I won't spend the next 5 days thinking I'll have to do it all again! This is not all my museum, just the slot for the astral pieces. I will of course have to redo the other slots hehe

I started the first part of the map with a layout that I liked (work in progress in the picture... as I came back long after my first run of the map) to discover that the extensions have pre-positioned Bridges, of course yeah, but that I absolutely didn't take into account.

For example my staff building in the second pic is against the bridge. I know the visitors can still walk behind, but it's definitely not the outlook I'm looking for for my museum.

Just to be clear, the absolutely disgusting building on the new extension is going away, it was my temporary area to group all the artefacts that were displayed while not being pristine. They waited for their turn to the analysis room!
