Hi all!

I’m hoping to make a poncho, something like the Jolie or Carla poncho by Milotte and I’m wondering if I should bust out the 100% yarn in my stash.

I’ve worked with alpaca blends before, but not 100% alpaca and I’m a little worried about the lack of memory/stretching. Especially due to the high ribbed collar and potentially the weight of the finished garment?

And to add on to this, are there any things I could do to further prevent stretching like sizing up/down a needle size, etc?

I’m using 8ply alpaca yarn

Please let me know your experiences with 100% alpaca, any advice at all is greatly appreciated, cheers :)
