Lit some more of them (plus some questions)

Lit some more of them (plus some questions)

The flames were very low, the picture is making them look a little crazy. I’m wondering how safe it is to have a bunch of these lamps filled around my apartment when not in use? Lol. Also, I’ve been using Medallion clear lamp oil. I’ve seen some people suggest using kerosene because it burns cleaner but is that even true? If you have any other recommendations I’d appreciate them

Nobody hates Palumbo

I never see anyone call Palumbo disgusting or terrible or anything like people do with literally every other predator. Why is he so likeable? Is it because he just stop by?

Rescued a bunch of oil lamps from my grandparents’ old shed

Spent a couple hours cleaning them today and I’m excited to get them lit. And also pictures of a couple of my favorites which I couldn’t wait to try. It’s been annoying trying to find the right wick sizes

28F, introverted but would like to chat

I’m alone all the time and it’s getting overwhelming. Most of the stuff I like to do I can do alone anyway, but it would still be nice to have some people to talk to. I like to read (old books/ghost stuff and literary fiction) and also write literary fiction. If you look at my post history you’ll see I’m a weirdo that likes TCAP lol

Does anyone have any information on this?

I only have a couple small pieces of uranium glass but I’ve never seen anything like this. I found this going through my grandma’s old stuff. It’s so beautiful and when I hold it up to the light it has an orange glow. Unfortunately I don’t have a black light to test it right now, but I was wondering if anyone has seen one of these, and what it is function wise, or any other info. Is it a candy dish or something? Thank you!

Got my second typewriter

I was looking for a quiet manual since my first typewriter was an insanely loud Coronet Super 12 (which I do love). I came across this on eBay for $95, listed as untested. It seems to be in good condition minus some sticky keys. I replaced the ribbon which was a first for me since my Smith Corona uses a ribbon cartridge. I really can’t believe how much more quiet it is, and I really love the green color. I’m going to clean it tonight and hopefully get it typing

Found on Kure Beach, NC. Is it some sort of fossilized thing? It caught my eye right away, it’s pretty neat
