apartments in the heights?

25F and I just moved into my complex like 6 months ago and I already can’t wait to get the hell out. it was ok when I first moved in, but it’s been going downhill since then. I was trying to live below my means but I hate feeling anxious and worried about my living environment. I really want to move to the heights once my lease is up next year and I would like some recommendations pleaseee. I loveee the heights, there’s lots of things to do, there’s young people there, and it seems pretty safe. I just want to be somewhere clean, SAFE, in a convenient location, and something that still won’t break the bank.

my sister’s unfruitful nurse residency hunt is breaking my heart

so my sister graduated nursing school april last year, and started nursing residency at a hospital. the unit turned out to be different from what they said it was. they said it was on icu, but it was more of a med surg. and then her preceptor was pretty unhelpful. she would never answer my sister’s questions, would tell her to do the wrong things at times, ignored my sister a lot of the time, and even had my sister take the fall for some things she did in a patient’s room without letting my sister know. the commute was also an hour and fifteen minutes from our house. my sister became fed up and worried that she’d end up completing her residency and have no knowledge on how to be a good nurse, or anything nursing related. and so she left 5 months into her residency and planned to get a job closer to home. she was hoping since she hadn’t hit that many months, she’d be able to restart residency and actually start learning. she left the job I think around late last year and since then she’s applied to like 4 cycles of residencies and has been rejected each time by multiple places. during her time after leaving her residency she also started working a private duty nursing job to make a little money. she ended up quitting that 2 months ago because a recruiter told her that the longer let she works at the job, the lower her chances of getting hired get. my sister is falling into depression because of this unfruitful job hunt and my heart breaks for her every time. the poor girl is always so down, unhappy, and barely leaves the house. I don’t know what to do for her. is all hope lost??? I’ve asked my manager to see if she can get her in, and she seemed willing and eager to hire her for residency. but my coworkers told me that my manager just says things people like to hear and she might not have plans on ever hiring her. so there’s that :/ I just feel so sad for her and it’s weighing on my heart. I feel like it’s my fault she’s in this situation, because I encouraged her to leave, and now her life is going the opposite direction she hoped it would. as an older sister I should’ve told her to stay and just get what she could…what can she do now??
