Can anyone tell whether this albino budgie is a male or female? (The red color underneath is from the strawberry it just ate)
The best example I can is this masterpiece of an experimental hip-hop album: From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots by dälek. It’s not obviously angry, but you can clearly hear the artists expressing anger throughout the songs using distorted instrumentals, beats, and have some glitchy, or otherwise very unique sound effects that construct the musicality. The lyrics are deliberately vague, cryptic, and don’t use any cliché screaming into the mic or anything like that. What I love about this album is it’s a disturbing, weird, and subliminal message showcasing its unfairness within systemic racism, oppression, and injustice Black people had gone through over the course of history and today.
I was wondering if there’s an album that fits a certain criteria like this. It doesn’t have to be specifically hip-hop, but also rock, electronic, or literally any genre at all. (Except country) And the expression can be about any topic or anything at all. Thanks!
I’m making a list of books written from Latin America where I must read, specifically those that are critically acclaimed. So far I’ve got One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez and 2666 by Roberto Bolaño. But what do you think?
