How do you learn a new piece?

Hello everyone, I'm a student at my local conservatory and I just started working on a new piece, Varations on a theme by Skrjabin by Alexander Tansman, and I'm having a bit of a hard time just reading through it and picking the right fingerings.

How do you guys usually go about learning new repertoire? Can you recommend any online resources on the topic?

First camera and lens reccomendation

Budget: <1000€ with lens
Country: Italy
Condition: Used
Type of camera: Mirrorless APSC
Intended use: Landscape and astrophotography (and occasional portraits, non professional)
End use: Social media and small prints
Must have features: Mirrorless, EVF, third party lens support, lightweight
Portability: Something light I can just chuck in my backpack while on a hike
Cameras I'm considering: Sony a5000, Sony a6000

Hello everyone, I'm brand new to photography and I'm looking to buy my first camera to shoot mainly landscape and, later on, astrophotography as well. I'm on a budget so I chose the Sony a6000 for the camera body, I can get one used for under 400€, but I'm not sure if I should go with the 16-50 kit lens or if I should save up some more and buy a Tamron 17-70 instead, I found one used for 450€ which seems like a very good price to me.

What do you think? Should I get the kit lens first before investing in a better lens or is it just a waste of money? Any and all extra recommendations are welcome as well.

Looking for recommendations for a first setup

• Budget: under 1000€ lens included

• Country: Italy

• Condition: New or used

• Type of camera: Full frame mirrorless (I'm considering other types as well, see notes)

• Intended use: landscape and portrait photography

• Wanted features: I want a camera that can take nice high quality sharp images in low light situations

• Portability: I'd need my camera to be light and compact enough to carry with me comfortably on a hike

• Cameras I'm considering: Sony a7 II, Canon EOS R100, Canon EOS R50, Sony a6400, Canon 650D, Nikon D5200

I'm looking to get my first camera and I'm unsure whether I should I get a newer, mirrorless camera with an APSC sensor or an older full frame mirrorless or a DSLR, I like to be out in nature and to take pictures of my friends. I'm leaning more towards a full frame mirrorless for the lens compatibility with future upgrades and for the bigger sensor, I also managed to find a Sony a7 II in excellent condition including a kit lens that would be suitable for my purposes at a good price.

Auto usate a buon mercato

Suggerimenti?

Hi, I'm a conservatory student and I'd like to record myself to get feedback from professors and for auditions as well. What would be a nice and affordable setup for this purpose?

I'd like to invest in a mic and an audio interface for occasionally recording some of my pieces for my professor and for auditions later down the line. I'm a conservatory student so I'm looking for something affordable. Any recommendations?

When I first noticed some players sticking their right pinky way out I thought it was just a quirk some guitarists had, my own professor does it and, most notably, Kazuhito Yamashita did it as well in passages where he needed fortissimo and didn't need to use his a finger, however I attended a masterclass today and the guest professor mentioned that some maestros teach this technique to their pupils and that it allows for more energy in the i m fingers and thus more sound.

What's this all about? Has anyone else heard about this?
