Hello all!

I'm a long-time lover of the show, and I got to thinking... what is the spread of subgenres (horror or otherwise) of the stories that the boys have read?

In order to answer this question, I first wanted to standardize what my list of subgenres would include. As an avid user of the Sonemic grouping of sites (RateYourMusic, Cinemos, Glitchwave), I decided to treat each story as though it were being adapted to a film, using Cinemos' list of genres as a basis. I then assigned a few primary genres to each story (of course, fallible and subject to debate, as I am only one opinion) and then tallied up the results!

The overwhelming majority of Creep Cast stories fall, to me, under the subgenre of psychological horror (with 76 in total). Supernatural horror (45), mystery (35), and cosmic horror (32) also make up a significant batch of the 150 total stories to date. Science fiction, folk horror, body horror, and psychological thriller are also standouts. The rest of my list has less than 10 representatives across the 150 stories.
