Is Google Hiding an AI Data Mega Center Behind a Research Lab ?

I got lost on the internet again and came across Google's Meadow Point project in San Jose, along with the whole mystery surrounding it. The project is reportedly classified as a research and development facility.

But the publicly available plans describe nearly 500,000 square feet of server racks, a proposed 250 MW electrical substation, and large cooling towers. That's exactly the kind of infrastructure a Mega AI data center would need.

Has anyone else looked into this?

If this is true though, isn't this absolutely terrifying?

Most amount of money ever made with a class action ??

I remember getting 450$ in 2018 with the Allstate TCPA class action.

What's the biggest payout you guys have ever received from a class action?

Hope I’m up there.

honest take on Gong, it's the best in the category at one thing, and most teams buy it hoping it'll fix something it structurally cannot touch

three years running Gong across two orgs, and my take has flipped from evangelist to something more complicated.

what it's genuinely elite at is capturing what actually happened in a conversation. the transcription is excellent, the tracker system that flags competitor mentions and pricing talk and objections is legitimately best in class, and the searchability means you can go find every call where a prospect brought up a competitor and hear the pattern with your own ears. for a manager who actually coaches, it's the closest thing to a superpower in the stack. objection detection has gotten sharply better this year too, roughly 91% versus something like 76% back in 2024, and multi-language competitor extraction actually works now.

here's what nobody tells you before you sign. Gong tells you what happened. writing it back is an afterthought. they finally shipped an agent this year that's supposed to auto-update CRM fields from conversations, but it's new and its output is only as good as the CRM structure you already have, which is a fun catch-22 if you bought Gong to fix your CRM in the first place. historically reps did all the post-call updating manually, and most teams i know still do. so if your CRM is a graveyard today, it's a graveyard with excellent recordings tomorrow. people buy Gong thinking it's a hygiene fix. it's a visibility tool. those are different products.

and the tell that says everything about the platform play, roughly 40% of Gong customers also pay for Clari. sit with that. Gong's own forecasting module can't displace the incumbent for its own users. that's not a product, that's a bundle with a margin motive.

the other thing that gets skipped is that it needs volume to be smart. if you're under 8 reps there simply isn't enough call data for the models to surface anything statistically real, you're paying enterprise prices for a very expensive recorder. and the 2026 pricing added a usage meter (Gong Credits) on top of the per-seat and platform fee, which is a delightful thing to discover at renewal.

so my actual position. Gong isn't a revenue platform, it's a microscope. if you have 10+ reps, high call volume, and managers who will genuinely run weekly coaching off the recordings, it's worth every dollar and nothing else comes close. if your problem is "we need more pipeline" or "our CRM is a mess," you're about to spend six figures to watch your problems in high definition. buy the microscope when you have something worth examining.
