For businesses and agencies working on AEO right now, what is actually helping you get mentioned in AI-generated answers?

There’s a lot of advice around getting brands featured in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, etc., but I’m curious how much of it is actually translating into visibility.

For businesses: have you changed anything on your site, content, PR, or SEO and started seeing more AI mentions?

For agencies: what are you actually doing for clients that seems to make a difference?

I was reading a piece called “AEO Best Practices: How to Get Your Business Featured in AI-Generated Answers” and it covered things like entity signals, citations, content structure, authority, and answer-focused content.

Makes sense in theory, but I’d rather hear what people are seeing in the real world.

What has worked for you so far? And what turned out to be mostly noise?

Is ranking on Google still enough?

With more people getting answers directly from Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity, brands now need to be cited and recommended not just ranked.

What do you think actually makes the biggest difference in AI visibility: better content, stronger authority, technical SEO, or third-party mentions?

Would love to hear what’s working for others.

Are white-label SEO partnerships actually helpful for digital marketing agencies?

White-label SEO partnerships often get mixed reactions.

  • Some agencies see them as helpful backend support.
  • Some worry about quality, communication, or losing control.
  • Some have had good experiences, and some have had poor ones.

But when it comes to technical SEO, the need is very real for many digital marketing agencies.

A lot of agencies are already managing strategy, ads, content, reporting, analytics, client calls, and campaign planning. Adding technical SEO execution on top of that can stretch the team, especially when clients need crawl fixes, speed improvements, schema, indexing support, redirects, and technical cleanup.

A good white-label technical SEO partner should not feel like a random vendor. It should feel like an extension of the agency’s delivery team.

  • The agency keeps the client relationship.
  • The agency keeps the brand.
  • The agency keeps the strategy.
  • The technical team supports the backend execution.

From our experience, this works best when the purpose is clear: help agencies deliver more consistently and retain clients by reducing execution gaps.

For agency owners and marketers here:

What would make you trust a white-label SEO partner technical skill, communication, turnaround time, reporting quality, or transparency?

Are there any reliable tools to measure brand/content presence across AEO and GEO?

With search behavior shifting beyond traditional SEO, measuring visibility in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) has become increasingly relevant.

Curious whether there are any tools currently available that can track or measure brand/content presence, discoverability, citations, or visibility across answer engines and AI-generated search experiences.

What is one thing clients misunderstand about marketing timelines?

A lot of clients expect campaigns to show results quickly, but some channels need time for testing, learning, and optimization.

What timeline expectation do you usually have to correct first?

A lot of marketing conversations become harder because clients expect one thing while the platform or audience behaves differently.

What is one common misunderstanding you keep seeing?
