Is anyone able to give a coherent description of how to play Combat Patrol at the moment?

What advice should people new to the game be given? Is it that we ignore what GW are doing until 11th Edition settles down and just play with the 10th Edition rules?

Or is it possible to work out how to play Combat Patrol from what GW has published so far?

Has anyone published a blog post or video explaining what they are doing?

My son is slowly building (and painting) a Chaos Demons army with the intention of eventually playing. He says that he's aiming to build a Chaos Undivided army (and currently in a Word Bearers phase). It's early days.

So far he has:

• Flamers of Tzeentch
• a Burning Chariot of Tzeentch (with Herald)
• a Demon Prince
• Blue Horrors

It's his birthday coming up and I'd like to get him some models to add to his army. At this point I think he's more interested in what they look like and painting them than longer-term playability.

I'd appreciate any advice about what would be good to get him. Thanks in advance.

(I play Black Templars so all this is heresy to me!)
