Why didn’t they just kill off Ryder

Ryder was meant to have a bigger role but couldn’t because MC Eiht had some business to attend to which conflicted with the recording sessions. That’s fine, but why add Ryder to the betrayal when he wasn’t supposed to be there when they could’ve killed him off?

This would’ve had much more impact along with the betrayal on the player and it would’ve sent us into the next section of the game with more of an emotional incentive to keep the story going.

Instead we just kill him unceremoniously in Pier 69, in a plotline he wasn’t even involved in and with recycled voice lines.

The trilogy is great, but Brock Hampton really shines in their work from 2018 onwards.

I get that the trilogy is special and it really is something to behold but I’d be lying if I thought any of those albums were better than iridescence, ginger, roadrunner or the family. Their later work is so much more refined and there’s more replay value. Iridescence is super underrated too

Why did we care so much about PHD flopper

I remember being livid that they wouldn’t bring back PHD flopper for bo2. I remember getting it on origins and being like crazy happy they brought it back. But I was like 9 and didn’t really have any other reason to be happy about it other than the fact everyone else was happy.

Playing BO2 now, again, as a 22 year old on the PS5, I was running origins, had jug, speed and staminup and I was hitting wunderfizz to get my 4th perk. PHD pops up and instinctively I took it. Regretted it instantly. What benefit does this even give me when I’m running ice staff and boomhilda? Did I just waste a perk slot? It’s a must have on CW-7 but in BO1/2 it’s pretty useless unless you have like the ray gun or mustang/sally, and even then, those guns are terrible for ammo.

BO2 port converted me to an origins lover

Been a day one origins hater. Fully a skill issue. Hated how you needed a guide to truly succeed in the map. Friends have always loved it. I’ve always just relied on them to do all the setup when playing it. To me the map was always just a complicated and overly difficult mess, and I just never bothered to learn it or give it a real chance.

Black Ops 1 & 2 re released on PlayStation recently, in case you didn’t know. Been playing zombies a lot, but quickly got bored of RNG based gameplay on the Jimmy Zilenski maps and mob of the dead’s novelty had been largely gone away due to the fan made remaster on BO3. So I joined a public game of origins. I knew roughly how to build every staff through playing the map on and off for 13 years. Built ice. Upgraded it too. The structure that the map gives you with the generators and staff parts helps replayability so much it’s crazy. Been playing it way more than every other map now for the last week. Can’t believe it took me 13 years

I wish GTA VI did more to aesthetically distinguish itself from Vice City/VCS

GTA IV had a whole new aesthetic while still retaining the dark and gritty atmosphere of Liberty City. V did the same, carving out its own image while still carrying over the San Andreas look we were all used to. So when VI’s trailer and logo was officially revealed way back in 2023, i was a little disappointed to find that it was using 80s music and a the VI in the title relied heavily on the neon pink/orange aesthetic from the original Vice City.

This doesn’t *really* matter and it may come off as a nitpick but I was actually looking forward to how rockstar was going to show Miami, 40 years on from their last adaptation of the city. It felt a little obvious to just rely on 80s aesthetics and nostalgia imo
