As you can see from the last slides, not only are his streaming numbers terrible when it comes to his new music, but also all posts discussing his new music are complete flops.
Sonically: No debate here, Up 2 me sounds better all the way through. Better adlibs, better vocal performances, more variation in flows, more personality, and he actually uses his voice like an instrument throughout the entire album.
Replay value: No reason to even argue this point. If you genuinely think 2093 has more replay value than Up 2 me, your opinion holds no weight by human standards. Up 2 me was released almost 3 years before 2093 and people still play it almost as much 5 years later. Half the praise for 2093 comes from people talking about the “concept” instead of actually listening to the album.
I’m sure you all know i’ve had a strong run hating on Yeat, but it’s just getting tiresome.
When he releases a song and it sucks it’s always fun to hate, but my passion for anything Yeat related is dying. Listening to his music less and less, no longer checking for snippets or news, nothing.
No matter what you guys think of me, just know that I never wanted to hate on him at first. I supported him fully until I realized he is just not the artist I grew to love so much before, and nothing about it is the same.
That is where so many of you get it wrong. After 2093, there was no attempt at evolving his sound or growing as an artist. It was change. You can like the change if you want, but you cannot deny that that is all it was.
The truth is I really have grown to hate who he is now. Everything he does is fake, there is nothing authentic about him at all anymore. Despite this, know that I still hoped for his comeback throughout all the hate for a long time. However, that hope is completely gone now.
I’ll always be here for the leaks and to have a good laugh, but my heart is just not in it anymore…
