I feel my cycling is taking a lot longer than it should be?
I initially had a cycled tank basically instantly but then discovered the sand I had in my tank wasn’t suitable for axolotls and removed it and replaced it with something better suited (fine white sand). This ruined my established cycle but since then I have the started he dosing with prime and stability, I have completed two 30% water changes due to my results and am seeing little to no improvement what so ever. I have live plants and keep the filter running and add in new prime and stability when I’ve done my change. I would say I’m pretty familiar with the process and what to do but I feel like I could be missing something?. The first photo is from when I removed and replaced the sand.

Hiya, I’m looking for some advice on set up! I am in New Zealand and hoping there’s others on here who can help. I am well familiar with the cycling process and understand it may be at least over a month before I can get an axolotl in here. This is a 72ltr tank planning on only ever having 1 lotl. I currently have what is seen in the tank only which includes one aquavitro ceramic hide. Planning to get more plants so if anyone has recommendations please share! I would also like recommendations for more hides. I have a hammock on the way also. A bubbler is also on the way. Also feel free to show me your set ups in the comments!!! (Light is only on for photos and actually can change to blue light)
