Does anyone keep score using a method other than traditional or Reisner method?

I was thinking of trying a play by play style game log and was hoping to see some non traditional methods I haven't seen.

Runner on first. Batter lines out to the pitcher, pitcher throws to first to get the out on the runner. How do I score that?

I'm sure it's L1 for the batter, but is the runner's out considered a pickoff or sb attempt or something else?

I don't see any infield popups on the out table. Does anybody have any modified tables?

It would be pretty easy to change the out table to a d12 or d20 roll and match the outcomes with whatever percentages are appropriate- modern, ancient, etc. But I like the elegance of just using the last digit of the mss so I was hoping somebody's already addressed this.

I own 1st edition and 1909. Does the 2nd edition offer any rule changes or additional tables or does it simply combine those two products?

What is meant by "playing from the middle" or the "center strategy"?

What is the "wall strategy"?

What do these strategies look like in practice?
