Solo Genres

Is it my imagination, or do the genres that seem to be the most appropriate for solo adventures the ones that are least represented by devoted solo games? Things like a superhero, a spy, a noir detective. Or stories like Tarzan, Buck Rogers even John Carter of Mars all focus on the kind of lone adventurer that seems like the target Solo RPGs should be aiming towards. Sure, there are a couple of examples, and you can obviously kit-bash any of those settings. But why aren't those kind of lone adventurer heroes used more often as the template for new solo games rather than another generic fantasy or sci-fi settings?
