Thoughts on Part 2 of LCF?

It’s been a while since I caught up, the last time I read was when they finished the Murim arc which I found a tad boring. I was wondering if there was any improvement, it’s not like the part 2 is terrible by any means but compared to part 1 it doesn’t have the same feel.

I feel like both of the worlds had so much potential, especially the first one. However they were all watered down and under utilized without real build up.

They keep introducing new characters but fail to make them substantive and tie certain character traits to already existing characters we know which makes it even harder to enjoy them. Rather than being able to like them, you’re constantly comparing them to the character they previously mentioned. 24/7 they get flexed on by the main cast too making me wonder why introduce them in the first place and make them relatively cool? Look I get that power scaling wise, our characters would be stronger but everything just feels so weak.

Additionally, the villains for each world feel so lame too. Maybe because there’s less stakes but the villains always have the same personality and if there’s a redeemable quality to the villains always, they somehow get roped into Cale’s group. In part 1, the White Star actually felt like a threat sometimes but with these villains they feel so lame. I just want some villains with more depth.

Not to mention the reunion with Choi Jung Soo, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Cale felt so lackluster compared to what I was expecting. Honestly, as much as I love seeing the dynamic again, it takes away a lot from Cale’s integral character.

In the grand scheme of things I still have a lot of love for Lcf, it was the first real webnovel I became obsessed with. It’s not like I don’t enjoy the characters and their dynamics still, it just feels a lot more stale in part 2. Probably because their world isn’t the focus anymore.. Anyways, Cale is my D1 to this day even if part 2 ain’t my fav.

[17F] Wondering if I made the wrong decision and my situationship still likes me?

During my Junior year there was this guy I had a crush on. I ended up coming up to him after class and asking him for his number, we talked a bit. Then we went on a date to the movies (fyi it was the Chainsaw Man movie which I binged the day beforehand because I wanted an excuse to watch something with him)

I enjoyed it, but there were a lot of times I couldn’t tell whether he was into me or not. Especially since I made the first move, I was worried if I ended up pressuring him to do this with me. He texted but since his personality was a lot calmer than mine, the energy wasn’t exactly the same.

Not only that I’d ask him things and it would be difficult for me to get a good response, though maybe it’s because he’s never been romantic with a girl before? Of course though, I kept trying and invited him to other things like this light ceremony which he drove me and this club meeting (he left immediately though)

There was this one time I gave him a flower I made since I made a bunch for my friends during Christmas. It’s not like I expected him to do anything for me back but it’s just an example of the effort I put in that I don’t exactly get in return.

It’s not like he didn’t have good moments though, he watched my favorite show and he asked to call. It’s just I couldn’t tell if there’s anything more to him or is what I’m seeing really it. He barely asked me out too and I did more of it. Eventually making me end it, however, now it’s summer and it’s been months.

I can’t help but think back to him, he keeps viewing my stories and I’m basically still the only girl he follows on both insta and tiktok. Part of me still sort of thinks about him because I feel like maybe I was feeling too insecure and ended things off too quickly before things could really develop.

Ngl I also stalked his tiktok reposts and there’s two videos talking about a girl and a situationship (idk if it’s me for sure though just speculation)

I feel bad for thinking about him again but I honestly really liked him. Then again maybe it’s just the summer singleness hitting rn. Tell me your thoughts and what I should do.

[Raising villains the right way] Any recs similar?

I was reading this and enjoyed it overall but felt a little put-off by the scene where one of the kids he raised wanted to marry him. I brushed it off and later on looked at novelty spoilers. It seems there is a harem tag?

I’d really like some recommendations that have a male mc raising children! Most notably without the MC dating the person they’re raising.

Any sort of found family w a male mc is fine too! (ive alr read the bigger ones like lcf, orv, and tscir)
