Im a cashier at a hardware store without a union, I make a dollar more, per hour, than minimum wage for my city. Under socialism, how would my job change?

I have a lot of secondary questions like how would my managers job change? Do we get paid the same? How would it vary between leninism or traditional marxism, or democratic socialism. Would the state take over? Would people lose their jobs? Would I get to own stocks in the company I work at or would the stock market be abolished all together? I see a lot of private contractors come through, would they still exist with the government commissioning them, or would they become full time employees? Thank you for any answers!

Does anyone else experience *major* improvements to sleep?

I love sleeping, I struggle with feeling like I've gotten enough. Often I remain exhausted, groggy, and feeling unwell most days. Last month I decided to try 33mg cbd capsules before bed and it was like magic. Somehow I was waking up naturally after about 6 hours and ready to approach the day, I started going to the gym at 6am and I continued to feel great. I ran out last week and my sleep gradually began to decline until today where I woke up 2 hours later feeling like shit. I know what I'm gonna do now. However it is a bit unbelievable that this improvement hasn't been documented or supported by the science. I wonder if this is a placebo but I don't think I would be able placebo myself into waking up before my alarm. I wanted to see if others have similar anecdotes!

Regret and pain and heat

My parents moved to Washington state when I was 5 and then moved down to Vancouver(the one across from Portland) a year later. Spent my childhood hiking and breathing crisp oxygen. Did my bachelors in Seattle. Was unable to line up a grown up job in time combined with me graduating in the winter led me to applying to a fistful of masters programs with spring admissions. Got accepted into Texas A&M, located in college station, a city smack dab in the middle of the texas triangle. Figured it would be quiet but ultimately fine, assumed that the road infastructure would make up for the lack of public transport. WRONG.l WRONG WRONNNGGG. Im dying. Ive been here for 7 months and replace whatever parts of my soul i lose daily with cigarettes. Its 97 degrees outside. I sit for 5 minutes after the light turns green cause a 75 something in the front decided 20mph is plenty for today. Im sweating so much which doesn't help the layer of dust and dirt that coats everything. When it rains the temperature doesn't go down. It only turns outside into a sauna. I never thought about humidity until i moved. I visited home and remember taking my first breath after getting off the plane and live in that memory. Im constantly damp. I'm terribly drunk and just staring out into the distance and im so unnerved at how flat this place is. I wonder if hell will also torture me with this heat endlessness. I miss weed too.

Being the same age as Javadi made me realize...

This girl was also 14 turning 15 when lockdowns happened 😭 very likely she took most of her pre-med college classes online. I think they did a rlly good job of showing how sheltered she is due to her parents, but she also missed some critical teenage experiences which also throttled her confidence. I imagine coming out of lockdown in a cohort 4-8 years older than her also must've stunted her in a few ways. Its a neat choice and I related so much to her (also being south asian and started taking uni courses full time at 16) its nice to see shows explore gen z more, it wouldve been very easy for the writers to not include someone this young in the pitt crew. Something specific I noticed is how she panics at new environments, obviously first day in the ER would have anyone nervous but the shell shockedness and looking towards someone to tell her what to do. It made her confidence and rigidity in season 2 feel so much more earned and solidified her character to me.

Theory for Season 3's structure

I wonder if another MCI occurs but instead of calling the night shift in early it happens sometime late night (i.e. 3-4 a.m.) forcing the day shift to come in early. I saw other theories such as the episode taking place november 1st so it might be a nice switchup and be able to include halloween costumes.
