is vpn safe for iphone?

I bought new iphone (Iphone 17 pro max) last week and was wondering, is vpn safe for iphone? I don't want to mess up with my new phone right away

I never used vpn on my iphone before and my friend once told me that her iphone got buggy after she downloaded mullvad vpn app on her iphone and started using it. it was like she used the app for about a month and her iphone was opening some apps very slowly, youtube videos wouldn't load, etc. she has Iphone 15 Pro and never had such problems before

she told me that she was having vpn on all the time. maybe that was the reason? after she stopped using vpn, everything was normal again

I am just afraid that vpn is somehow not safe for iphone and that it would cause some damage to my new phone

in your opinion, is vpn safe for iphone or should I avoid it?

salmonella in dogs

I have got a 3 year old golden retriever named Pickle and I could really use some advice

two days ago, I was defrosting raw chicken on the counter and stepped away for a phone call. came back to find Pickle had jumped up and eaten a good part of it. since then I have been reading way too much about salmonella in dogs and I am starting to worry a bit

here's what I am noticing with him:

-little more tired than usual

-softer poop this morning but not full diarrhea

-eating and drinking normally

-no vomiting so far

to anyone who dealt with salmonella in dogs before: what were the first symptoms you noticed and when did you decide it was time for the vet visit?

I know that a lot of people feed raw and their dogs are fine, but this was supermarket chicken sitting out for a while, so the risk feels higher.

any advice on salmonella in dogs including symptoms, timelines, when to actually worry, would mean a lot. Pickle is currently passed out on the couch looking totally innocent
