AC issues 2021 Mazda cx30
Hello to everyone disclaimer I am a Honda tech not a Mazda tech, but my wife owns a Mazda so I take care of all her maintenance. Please do not work on any AC units unless certified under 609 certification.
About a week ago, her AC gave out. I took it to my shop and started diagnosing. The problems. Condenser fan was working when the AC was on the clutch was engaging. All fuses were working perfectly fine and no strange noses can be heard. I checked all for the high and low pressure and everything was correct. I recovered all the Freon in the system and placed it back and it still did not work. After further looking into this matter I found something strange a little sensor coming from the compressor come to find out it’s a compressor control valve OEM part number BDGF61450. (Part is show in the above picture). That little valve controls if your compressor actually compresses or just spins. After changing that one valve AC was charged and back to working as normal. I see a lot of people complaining for a new compressor and the over charge for parts and labor but 50 dollars and a Freon R-134a may solve this issue. Any comments questions or concerns please feel free to contact me for help.
