My fiancée and I are planning our wedding there and asked our friend to officiate. She expressed that it was rather tedious getting ordained to marry in Clark county. I also saw online that performing a marriage ceremony prior to obtaining a marriage license can be a 1500$ fine.

We were thinking of avoiding all the hullabaloo and just signing our marriage license in our home state and still doing our wedding in Vegas for the ceremony of it all?

I guess my question is would that still make us liable for a fine if we are legally already married in another state but perform the ceremony in Vegas?
