As much as I love a weekend round, it’s hard to beat a 2-1/2 hour 18 on a Wednesday afternoon

Buddy and I teed it up at 3:30 and I was home grilling burgers for the wife and in laws before 6:30

Also to the random ass dude on here that chirped me and said I’m holding up pace of play because I’m a 9 handicap that doesn’t play the white tees or shorter, 🖕🏼

Why is golf so hard

I’ve been in a funk lately. I’ll consistently have a great range session, blow up the front 9, then lock in and play a decent back 9. For the life of me, I cannot get that locked in, confident feeling for the first half of a round.

I’m not losing strokes on pitch/chips or putting. Short game is actually the one thing saving me from scoring even worse.

My problem is 100% mental. I’ll hit an amazing drive, then follow it up with an approach shot of someone playing golf for the first time or vice versa. It feels like I have moments where I’m literally uncomfortable standing over the ball and feel as if ive never swung a club before. Zero confidence.

Not looking for any swing advice, but what’s your best advice for staying focused and not making super rudimentary errors?

Haven’t made an official GHIN handicap but playing off of a 9.9 according to 18Birdies. I just started taking the game serious and tracking stats this year, but haven’t been playing my “best” golf.

Blade recommendations

I’m looking for blade recommendations

I have a Gravely ZTX 52 w. A 23HP Kawasaki

Currently has the OEM mulching plug and their mulching blades installed

Overall haven’t been very happy with their blades. They cut the grass alright but the clippings aren’t as fine as I like and they create almost no vacuum to lift leaves, Bahia sprigs, old clippings, etc.

Anyone have a good blade suggestion?

I’ve historically really liked Oregon Gator blades but people say not to use them with a mulching plug?

Latest victim of a caved face Mizuno

I haven’t checked all the irons yet but I noticed my 7i looked funny earlier. Sure enough, caved in face. I love you, Mizuno, but damn you.

Anyone dealt with having them replaced yet? I honestly don’t know if I want another set if this is a repeat issue, but I also don’t think I’m “good enough” for S-3s

For reference, roughly 5 rounds and a few short range sessions on these. I carry a 7i around 185 at 125 ball speed. These are the Pro M13
