As the title asks, did Tull intentionally mimic Brian May’s playing on For Queen and Country from Warchild?

It sticks out to me every single time I hear the song. Lots of harmony guitar parts. It seems like the guitar is super mid range heavy, which is very similar to Brian May. It’s hard to fully explain, but the overall vibe of the guitar just feels very Queen, and are a little uncharacteristic for other Tull parts.

Between the general Tull sense of humor, and the presence of someone like Dee who could whip up arrangements at the drop of a hat, I’m basically convinced that this was intentional. Has anyone seen any discussion about the subject before though?

It’s always possible I’m just conflating things. But it’s hard for me to assume anything else.

I just spent four hours fussing and fighting to build 4 of the 6 Sentinel Guards.

Only to realize, that the body that you’re supposed to use for the vexilla, is the 4th one in the body build order instructions. Despite being first in the weapon build instruction list.

As a result the first four of my six guards required extensive snipping, and sprue goo, to get wrestled into shape.

I had wrongfully assumed that they were in the same order that the Custodian Guard sodality was. Those ones build in order. But due to that, I was basically offset in the instructions by one body the whole time.

If you make that mistake like I did, it’ll sort itself out after the fourth guard, since the vex goes on the fourth body you build.

I guess the one upside is that my four guards now have somewhat custom poses. But yeah, PSA. Don’t be me.
