Best Air Intake & Intercooler for 2.0t

Wondering what you all think is the best Air Intake and Intercooler for my staged 2 tuned 2.0t? I know Mishimoto and PRL are good but I didn’t know if any of you had more recommendations? Also, I would want a airtake more for the sound than anything else, I know it doesn’t do much performance wise.

My Final Answer was, 57DR!

I had a hard choice to make and I went with Gram Lights 57DR Semi Gloss Black in 19x9.5 +35. I will most likely have to raise the rear some and even negative camber a bit. They should be arriving tomorrow and should have them on sometime next week. :D

Decided to make a small change to start off

Saw everyone chatting about changing out the emblems on various forums. Decided to make the jump.

It's subtle, but I like.

Works well with the chrome delete on the grille.

Brake question

2021 sport and like a lot of other have a squeal when backing up after sitting. Done it since new.
Question is IMHO the brakes overall are a little over sensitive compared to other cars. Is that the stock pads or just how the car is designed.

Debating chaining all the pads

Showing some love to the sub!

Been in this sub for the past 5 years. Was previously a proud owner of a 1.5T for about 5 years. Purchased prior to there being any issues with the 1.5T. Did some research and decided to start looking for a 2.0T. The 1.5T I got with 30k miles on it, ended up trading it in with 90k miles on it. Fuel pump, and radiator were both replaced. At 60k the valve cover gasket needed to be resealed. Regular fluids were changed, coolant, transmission and oil were always done on time. No issues. I needed to get rid of it to ease my mind.

Last year, I found the 1 I was looking for, wasn’t my favorite color though. 2018 Accord 2.0T Touring (9k miles). An older gentleman had this before, purchased brand new, and rarely drove since he was like 80. He passed away and his family sold it back to the dealer. I paid too much for it imo, but I plan on keeping this even if the engine goes, transmission goes, anything. I love how this drives, feels, and looks.

Currently it’s sitting at 15k miles. Oil changes done at 4-5k miles, transmission fluid and coolant changed twice already(once done by the previous owner) and brake fluid changed once (gotta do it again soon). Also I only use 93 (no turbo’d vehicle should be running 87..smh, even if the manual says to, don’t!! Recently had it towed from the NorthEast to Texas, as I moved back. I’ve had a few things cosmetically done to it, as well as some other things. Here’s a small list of what has been done thus far.

Upgrades;
PRL HVI
PRL Titanium Inlet pipe
Mishimoto Intercooler
Mishimoto Oil Catch Can (Must for Direct Injected cars)
Ultra Racing 2 point front strut tower brace (yes, it’s more responsive l)

Upgrades coming soon/want;

Upgraded oil, aka changing it to 5W30, and I’ve seen some have done so, but I’m nervous that I’ll fuck something up…please voice opinions on this. I’m trying to focus on reliability/cooling but still get a little pick me up if you know what I’m saying.

Type R style Hood
Downpipe
Front pipe
Exhaust system (probably HRS)
Phearable stage 3 tune (93?)
NEW RIMS, Black (Old guy got some curb rash)
Bigger turbo, when this fails (P700)
Eibach swaybar kit
6MT engine mount (prevent wheel hop, as I get a lot coming out of a dig)(maybe 1-2 times a week I’ll open it up).
Better head studs

And some other cosmetic changes, nothing crazy, but want to focus on this last.
Not the flashiest accord, because it is a H, but it does get moving!!

Should I change the outer tie rod, or both inner and outer?

2018 Honda Acccord Sport 1.5T

I have both on hand to change, but I’m a beginner and the inner looks very complicated. Should I change both or is the boot on this the obvious reason for my clunking noise with wheel movement?

Totally impressed from gas mileage, got combined 42MPG on 87 gas and its non hybrid

Did round trip from Vancouver to Calgary and came back. Whole trip was mountainous.

Wrapped some parts, wanna eventually do the transition plastic molding on door panels too. Not sure how I feel about this. May just peel it off in the end...

Transmission failure 10AT

Wanted to share my experience with my 2020 Touring, which, until now, was flawless.

Car at 81,000 km (50k miles). No mods, purchased brand new. All dealership services. Contracted an extended warranty (thank God!), which expires this July.

During a normal commute, noticed that the transmission jerked after coming out of a toll booth stop. But then kept driving normally, no warning lights or other symptoms. A bit later, car suddenly went back to first gear when reduced speed, wouldn't go to second, even with the paddles. Had to get it towed to dealership.

Took them three weeks to diagnose, partly because they were waiting to get a pre-owned to start to switch parts, which I strongly objected as they had no timeline and sounded like just trial and error. Finally got today the notification that the whole transmission was approved to be changed by the extended warranty (which learned it's a third party insurance, which delayed the process even more).

Important fact: Transmission fluid was changed in March at the dealership per the maintenance schedule. Didn't notice any issues until the failure, but very suspicious something was done wrong.

Now another 3-4 weeks to wait for the tranny to show up...

Would it be possible to remove the rear charging ports and replace them with rear ac vents?

I know some trims came with vents in the back of the center console for the rear seats but mine has the charging ports. Would it be possible to swap it out? and would it be a pain in the ass if so?
