Just wondering if this is considered really good mileage for the 1.5t... I had quite a bit of stuff in my trunk and several things in the cabin... I'd estimate I was hauling an extra 100-200 pounds on the trip.

Side note: I run my 19-accord sport on 91 or 93 premium fuel (simply out of the potential benefit of increased knock resistance... someday, I may consider tuning it to actually perform better w/ premium but that may or may not ever happen... given its just the 1.5t paired with the rubber band CVT transmission.

I have a 2020 Honda accord 2.0t with the 10 speed auto. When I’m in manual mode in a single gear and I let off the gas, the engine breaking happens but 60 percent of the time I feel the car kind of jerk a little bit. It’s not a big jerk but a subtle jerk where it’s noticeable, and it’s accommodated with the rpm’s dropping slightly then going back to normal right after. I was just curious if this is just normal torque converter unlocking for a brief moment or is it something I should be concerned about?

I just reached out to my local Honda dealership here in Dayton, and they want $8400 to fix my head gasket. They said I should go ahead and get the spark plugs, fuel injectors, timing chain, and all associated parts fixed with that type of repair. I’ve seen some other answered questions on here where getting a head gasket is only $3200 if being repaired by the dealership. Does anybody know any reputable repair shops I could reach out to within a couple hours drive of Dayton, Ohio, to reach out to to get a better quote. For some reason, I think going to my local Honda dealership is not a good idea.

Just a little backstory, I reached out on here a week ago for some input on whether I should get my 2019 Honda Accord touring hybrid with 200,000 miles fixed or just try to sell. The general consensus was to get it fixed. Any, and all input from you all on here is greatly appreciated.🙂

Did anybody go fk it on their ghost screen issue and just buy an after market 12" screen for their accords? If so share your experience and costs as im done waiting on Honda for a recall.

starting to get my launches down

Hey everyone! Just thought I’d post my 2020 accord now that I have it about finished how I want it.

The goal was just some simple mods to make the car a bit more fun and lively to drive while I daily it but maintain all the reliability I can, as this car is plenty fast for me for a daily.

Mods are pretty simple -
Type R engine cover (just for the vibes lol, needed a new cover anyway)
Mishimoto catch can
Mishimoto cold air intake
Thermal R&D 3 inch cat back

Maintains the perfect daily driver. Love this car, the mods have woken it up just how I would have hoped! Good turbo noise with the blow off. Louder when you want it but cruising along and driving normal the thermal exhaust works perfectly.

She’s not perfect has some light scratches and chips but for 96000 miles she cleans up nice! Might look into some different rims down the road but idk for sure yet.

Never let me down, have owned it since 63000 and has been flawless just normal maintenance. If anyone has any questions on any of this let me know!

Well, part 2... Started the CVT cooler install. Had to take off everything I installed from yesterday minus the intercooler. Swapped out the top cvt filter, adding the ETL sandwich plate, ran all the hoses, used the ETL cooler plus an additional cooler (Miami FL, nuff said).

I also added the Ktuner display image, little run down, Did a 20 miles run up to Sawgrass Mall and back home. It did creep slowly. The intake dropped to 91F with the ambient temps were 85-86F so, the snorkel is doing it's job. I maintained a good 85-90MPH speed and then punched it to 120MPH (yes, pretty fast but I had to benchmark it with non-real world testing) all-in-all, max temp I got it to was 206F... Best case scenario was 180F (unrealistic but one could hope) real target was 220F...

Before the cooler kit install similar drives would be well into 230F maxing out at 250F (this is a 240 miles drive from Miami to Orlando.

Internet says too high is 230F and usually it is always up there, I choose not to believe this, because this was happening before I flashed it. Operation temps 150F for the cvt warmer to bring up the temps... 20 miles drive to or from work it usually gets to 203F in stop and go traffic, I will find this out tomorrow.

I'm really happy with the turn out, though. Just have to keep an eye on possible leaks. Everything is great :).
