Do not go to 24 Hour Fitness at Chino Hills Pwky unless you want to face discrimination.

Do not go to this gym. Aside from the fact that the gym material is not santized and half the time broken, one of the managers (Joseph) gives you a hard time with membership and cancellation. We forgot to cancel and was charged, so we went in to get it sorted. We were very understanding of the situation and didn't mind if the cancellation didn't work out and the 1 year payment wasn't refundable. However, when we were told to wait for a manager by a kind worker, Joseph comes in (as a manager), doesn't introduce himself and straight up asks the worker (not us) on what their issue was. When told the context he said word for word "it's not my fault he was lazy and couldn't cancel in time. Just tell them that there is nothing we can do because you guys were being lazy and ignorant". When asked if that was an appropriate response by one of the workers, he said "it's the truth". I don't personally mind the negative comments to us, however, when the workers are wasting our time by giving us false hope and telling us to wait for a manager (when the manager is clearing talking crap about us in front of us) it becomes an issue because you are wasting not only my time, but your time as a worker. All the other workers were pretty chill about this situation and one even apologized for the manager's behalf. If you are a manager, you should take accountability and NEVER have another worker apologize for your behalf. I am truely disappointed of this situation. DO BETTER!

**Edit** All of the 1 Star reviews are about Joseph or the sanitation of the Gym, please do what you can to get this dude either fired or raise some attention.

Legacy Membership scam

Recently talked to a general manager about the legacy membership that some clubs are offering. Told me about the deal and how the $99 per year after year 2 will last forever. The key part of it is that it will only go up 10% max as it is in the contract.

Sounds like a great deal. Therefore, when i asked to see the contract in writing they could not find where it mentioned the 10%. He made up an excuse saying he called other managers in the area and they had the same issue. Also, they were advertising it as such because they were told that in a regional meeting months ago. Proceeded to then pull a bogo deal out of his ass which also ended that same day. This new bogo deal never existed as it was not advertised. This was a ploy to get me to give them my money that same day. As we shake hands and as i was leaving, i see the general manager turn to his coworkers and give like a "i just blew a deal" shrug to both of them 🤷.

That was June 10th which was the same day the deal ended. Later that day I received a voicemail mentioning how i was interested and the deal ends that day. They mentioned everything but the 10% obviously because of false advertising.

Turns out yesterday, the deal was brought back even when they said the offer ended 19 days ago. Its all odd because every club is offering the deal but the offer is nowhere to be found online. Clearly, this is a scam to get peoples money.

Only opened 12hrs a day

So in Santa Rosa, California, the owner of this location is a cheap owner. He refuses to keep this location over 24 hours despite Covid being over he still uses the excuse he can’t have night staff because of Covid makes no sense. Just wants to be cheap and not pay Night Shift staff a lot of members here already complained but nothing gets done. Why won’t corporate step in this is not good for their brand.

Scam?

Received texts and they seemed scammy when I called. They asked for my membership number and my bank number. I said nope. They recorded the call. I recorded the call.

Will 24-Hour be going non staffed during off peak hours overnight?

Noticed that 24-Hour Fitness is stating to install turnstile gates, is this designed to eventually have staff free period during overnight hours? Any employees here that might know?
