UPDATE + ROLL CALL: Anyone Else Have a Pre-2015 Lifetime / Prepaid 24 Hour Fitness Membership Recently Cancelled?
Looking for others who had older prepaid/lifetime 24 Hour Fitness memberships from before 2015 that were recently canceled.
I had a lifetime/all-club membership since 2007 at $29/year. 24 Hour Fitness canceled it in 2025, even after previously restoring my original rate following the federal class action settlement from years ago.
I took them to small claims. 24 Hour Fitness never even showed up to court.
The judge reviewed my contract, payment history, and the federal class action settlement documents. The court specifically found my testimony credible that I was part of the original federal class action settlement.
But instead of ruling on damages, the judge ruled that small claims court was the wrong venue because the original federal court retained continuing jurisdiction over enforcement and interpretation of the settlement agreement.
The case was dismissed “without prejudice,” meaning the judge did NOT rule against me on the merits and did NOT decide whether 24 Hour Fitness lawfully terminated these memberships. It basically means I’m allowed to pursue the issue in the proper court instead.
The judge also acknowledged that after the original class action settlement, 24 Hour Fitness restored my original $29/year rate, which reinforces that they previously treated these memberships as protected under the settlement.
At this point I’m trying to see how widespread this is again.
If you had a prepaid/lifetime/fixed-rate membership from before 2015 that was recently terminated, comment below or DM me. Screenshots/details appreciated.

The 24hourfitness off aborn rd in San Jose is so ghetto instead of replacing missing regular weight pins for the machine they use lag threaded screw eye as a placement that they probably got at home depot. The other day I found this long ass screw on one of the machine used instead of the pins.
Been in two 24h fitness so far, the one open 24 hours in 15900 E briarwood in Aurora, and the one on S Twenty Mile road in Parker.
People are going into the sauna dressed, sweat pants, hoodie, shoes. In Parker, I see some with socks in open toe shoes, shorts and t-shirts.
In Aurora, it’s where it was the most gross ever. People going fully dressed. Sneakers, socks, sweat pants, hoodie.
Also, you enter the sauna there, it stinks very badly.
In Europe, especially in Nordic countries, it’s naked in a sauna, and it’s co-ed. People can have a towel around their waist. I get that it’s the U.S. and people got with a swimsuit. But why not sitting on a towel?
The wood brings all your sweat and it’s freaking disgusting and filthy. Truly no manners. But the worst remain those entering fully dressed. Even with big headphones and their phone.
Can someone make any sense of this? Is it like this in all 24h fitness sauna? Is this thinly at 24h or also at other fitness ?
This is in San Diego area. I was offered lifetime $99 membership but the first year I have to pay $840 but I guess that I includes buddy pass and some training sessions...just wondering if anyone has tried this? I currently pay $293.59 / year. So for this new deal to be with it for me id have to wait like 4 years...I just idk if I trust that 24 hour fitness will be going strong 5-10 years into the future.
