Got these done two weeks ago, how to fix?
This was my first time getting tips with acrylic (?). They’re already longer than I was used to, and now they’re starting to grow out.
Im more concerned with the length as typing and my job working in a gym is getting harder to do.
I looked through the sub and there were some comments on using a drill thing to shorten them down, or go to a salon to get them fixed.
In everyone’s opinion, what’s the best option? At home filing, going to the salon to get them shortened, or full new set?
Thank you everyone! It’s my first time and even at the salon when I first went I felt super embarrassed and uneducated 😭

Bubbles in acrylic
Is it normal for there to be some if any bubbles in acrylic? Just noticed this since im using clear. It is my dominant hand, unfilled. Literally stopped to post this.
Nail under acrylic looks weird.
Hi all.
I got this set a long time ago but haven’t had time to completely take them off /soak them as life has been insanely hectic. I know I should have taken it off a WHILE
ago. Life’s been a lot lately.
I noticed this nail hurt quite a bit a few days ago while I was trying to peel it off. I trimmed it down as it still had the long acrylic on it, but couldn’t peel it off from the root.
I noticed that below it, it has this weird red and white marking, kind of like an upside down “U” on my actual nail. The picture is not great but irl it looks much more pronounced.
It doesn’t really hurt anymore except for when I push down on it. I end up pushing down when I try to peel it off, though.
Anyone know what caused this and what the mark on my actual nail is? I’m scared of using acetone to remove the acrylic in case my actual nail has an injury or something that the acetone would harm.
Please help and please don’t yell at me for having my nails on so long. I know I should have taken them off sooner 😭
THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE!! I’m just checking if this is normal or what
Acrylic powder and polymer
Good morning! I'm new here. Recently I've been transitioning to doing my own nails and I'd like to do my daughter's as well. We had been seeing a wonderful nails artist for several years and he moved Recently and the person who took over for him is just not as good.
I've been studying and practicing and I'm doing pretty well, but I can't seem to find particularly good powder and polymer. I think I might also need better tips.
May I ask which products you recommend? I really appreciate your help!
ETA: I just can't thank you all enough for your help
Can i wait another week before fill
I wasn’t sure if I could wait another week before getting my nails filled ? Should I get them filled asap or can I wait?
For this perfect ombré, I used a soft white at the tip, a cover shade in the middle, and a translucent pink in the cuticle area.
Do yall prefer acrylic nails or your natural nails?
My GF is really good at doing her nails but she can only do her natural nails, not acrylic. She was thinking of doing a side hustle but she’s worried that it is not going to work well since most people like acrylic nails.
are my nails lifting
sorry for the weird bad angled pictures but maybe i am
just paranoid because i got acrylics for the first time.
i also have no idea how they are meant to feel but they feel like they could pop off idk but i feel like if may actually just be rhe feeling of having the nails on. helppppp
First time getting acrylics. Why so expensive???
I don’t get my nails done often, but I’m 35 weeks pregnant and decided to treat myself. Normally I just get gel or dip. Tbh my Vietnamese nail tech was talking about acrylics and I couldn’t really understand her and I was just like yeah sure I’ll try them. Anyway, this is a base set with my natural nails underneath (no lengthening), single color, no designs. It literally took her like 30 minutes.
I’m wondering why this cost $95??? And she said fills cost $55. I’m not even in a HCOL area! Did I get ripped off or is this normal for acrylics that aren’t fancy?
