Victim Locates Fugitive - Police Do Nothing UPDATE
My name is Caitlin I am the victim in The United States VS Kevin Ahern a criminal rape case. Kevin Ahern is a fugitive and fled despite being found guilty on seven counts of sexual crimes against a minor.
Kevin Ahern has been missing since 2018 and was found and located by the victim via a witness with a relevant tip. District Attorneys were alerted but it's been about 19 days since the tip surfaced, they are doing nothing. They said they would pass it on to an investigator but me and the witness have gotten no response.
I called the hotel in Mexico where Kevin Ahern was staying and confirmed they were harboring a fugitive. Someone is being paid off. I extracted the rest of the information from the witness and got Kevin Ahern's phone number. I called him and i recognized his voice, he answered my phone call and spoke with me.
I have been going public with the information because I fear for my safety and need to get as much eyes on my case as possible. Kevin Ahern's family is rich and powerful.
Ever since I have gone public online Black SUVs and Black Escalades with TCP numbers have been parked outside my house.
I'm coming to SFV's platform for any help, advice, discussion. I'm willing to answer any questions regarding the case. I also have a tell all interview coming out with Soft White Underbelly next week.
The case number is LA081261 and can be found on the LA Courts website. The trial was in Van Nuys Courthouse and the original police report went through Lost Hills Sheriff's department, because the crime happened in Hidden Hills.
Thank you

This a long story, sorry in advance.
I'm the victim in a rape case involving a fugitive named Kevin Ahern.
I reported a crime that happened to me when I was a child. That investigation started in 2015 and we had the trial in Van Nuys courthouse in 2018. Kevin Ahern was let out on bail even though he was a flight risk. In a previous case where he was found guilty, he fled to Mexico and was caught by authorities and extradited.
Someone paid Kevin Ahern's bail and during my trial, (which was his now second case) he fled again despite being brought up as a flight risk by the DA.
Kevin Ahern has been missing since 2018. I have done interviews on Soft White Underbelly and other podcasts to bring awareness to my cold case and the missing fugitive. Over the years I received messages but nothing concrete to find him.
Well on Tuesday I received a tip on his whereabouts. A man in Mexico came forward and said he met an American named Kevin Ahern, same age, matched description, and he knew where Kevin Ahern was staying and his phone number.
I called the DA who handles my case and they said an investigator would have to respond.
It is now Friday and nobody has followed up with me or the witness.
I went to two police stations, called 911, called FBI, keep calling the DAs, I am getting no responses and nobody is interested in the information.
I'm looking for suggestions on what to do and how to handle this.
Edit: I'll also mention where you can find information on this case. The LA courts website you can look up case number LA081261 and you can also look up Kevin Ahern on Megan's Law, it will say on there that he is in violation and it's because he escaped on bail.
When I try to quit I have severe digestive issues?
Hey I wanted some advice. So last time I tried to quit I got some severe digestive issues. My stomach was in a lot of pain, like severe pain that would send me to the hospital and they would find nothing wrong with me. I would also vomit from time to time but rare.
Can quitting induce CHS?
Either way, is there any advice you could give me about the digestive issues dealing with quitting? What has helped you?
I'm thinking I might have to reduce my consumption slowly to avoid such harsh physical symptoms but other than that I don't know what else can help.
How is she feeling? Did anything bad happen to her during her hospital stay?
Is she going to be ok?
She is in the hospital, they found out she has pancreatitis. Her levels should have been 200-400... But they were over 1000+. I'm worried about my best friend.
My dad passed suddenly in 2019 and I'm seeking his guidance right now

There are people claiming in this sub to work for doctors offices and argue that it is not their job to check if your insurance is covered when you are seeking to receive a service from them.
I'm a medical assistant. I'm here to tell you that yes it is OUR job to check if your insurance is even billable before we do a service.
The amount of asinine people in here who are claiming that they don't check insurance prior to medical servicing is outstanding and that is not supposed to be the norm, people.
Why do you think we ask for your insurance card at the desk? That is a medical assistant that should be taking your card, checking if your insurance is in network that is how we know what your co pay even is.
There are now discrepancies between online insurance information and what an insurance agent will tell you. These people don't want to check your insurance prior to arriving - they don't want to stay on the phone with your insurance on hold for 40 minutes.
They want you to do it even though it's the doctor's office job.
This is what medical assistants went to school for. Anybody who disputes this is not knowledgeable on the medical industry.
I've been on the phone all day with my doctor's office and the hospital.
I'm supposed to have a colonoscopy Thursday but the hospital informed me they are out of network. Apparently that's not true according to my insurance because the waiver the hospital told me I needed to get won't even process with my insurance because... Everything is covered.
Can't even call Good Samaritan hospital in Vincennes to inform them of this because they transfer me from pre cert to billing to Endo and everybody is now suddenly saying they don't handle that.
I am in pain. I am not eating or drinking from the pain. They chose to tell me this on a Monday morning when I am supposed to start prep this Wednesday and my doctor's office also won't handle this they are telling me they will "call the supervisor" within the hospital to "call *me* and get it figured out"
It's almost 4pm today and of course nobody has gotten back to me.
