Carpooling for travellers

Hi everyone, I think carpooling could be one of the best options for traveling from one city to another. However, in cities like Akola, Amravati, Nagpur carpooling is still very rarely used.

BlaBlaCar works really well in Pune, Nashik, and Mumbai, people actually use it a lot for carpooling. But in Akola, Amravati, Nagpur etc., hardly anyone uses it.

Overall, carpooling is the best option for both car owners and travellers, especially in places where Ola and Uber aren’t available.

Orphanage day

I prepared 22 hampers and gave one to each child after speaking with the orphanage home and understanding what they actually needed. I tried to curate them thoughtfully based on both their needs and a few personal ideas.

The girls hampers included a few extra things specifically useful for them, and apart from the individual hampers, we also donated sports items like a bat, ball, badminton set, and volleyball net since the children needed them.

I also chose not to cut a birthday cake or celebrate in the usual way. Instead, I spent time with the children and shared ice creams and snacks with them so the day felt comfortable, natural, and enjoyable for everyone rather than making them feel like spectators to someone else’s celebration.

I honestly wasn’t planning to post any of this, but someone from Reddit also contributed towards it and told me that sharing it might inspire more people to do something similar, so I decided to post it.

Suggestion needed

I’m turning 21 soon

I want to spend the day at an orphanage/children’s home in Akola. I’d like to celebrate with the kids by arranging food, cake, snacks, or things they actually need.
