Slow boat from China
Is there any way of knowing before you buy something on Amazon which is in a warehouse ready for delivery the next day and which is coming on a slow boat from China?

I’m paying for Prime Video Ultra (ad‑free + Atmos), but on Apple TV the Atmos badge has completely vanished. Not a single title shows Atmos anymore.I deleted the app, restarted the Apple TV, reinstalled, logged back in — still zero Atmos.Disney+ plays Atmos instantly and my Onkyo confirms it, so the hardware isn’t the issue. Is Atmos actually supported on Apple TV right now, or is the Ultra tier just advertising it?
So I have HBO Max through Amazon. I saw it was supposed to be available to watch staring July 3rd. But in the prime app it just says only way to watch is rent. Was hoping that since it was on HBO tonight then maybe it would somehow fix the glitch and be available in the HBO Max app within Amazon prime. But nope. I'm super annoyed. Really was looking forward to watching it.
I've seen very few comments about the same issue. But I would think there would be a ton more. So please respond if you have HBO Max but only within Amazon, not on it's own. And please say if you're able to watch or it's saying you have to rent or buy to watch it.
A couple of years ago I swear they had every season, and now they only have the 2012-2025 seasons and just the memorable moment episodes. what happened? And no, YouTube is not much help before it's mentioned. tia
Can anyone with the Prime Video Ultra add on please check it has Atmos? I know Atmos is usually locked behind the Ultra add on now but don’t want to waste money on it if it doesn’t have it. Thank you!
Starting Wednesday, California banned streaming platforms from running excessively loud, often startling, advertisements.
Under the new law, streamers — including Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video — will be forced to maintain consistent audio levels throughout their entertainment programming, including ad breaks.
The move comes as streaming giants increasingly rely on ad-supported tiers to boost subscribers and ad revenue.
Given California's major influence in the entertainment industry, it could become a new nationwide standard for streamers.
Similar legislation is set to go into effect in Illinois next year.
I am wanting to watch Scarface with Al Pacino. I noticed that the runtime is 162 minutes, yet the runtime is supposed to be 170 minutes. I’m just wondering if Amazon shows edited versions of films.
Let me start - Que Sera Sera (From)
Now it’s your turn.
Does anybody have any bad experiences of buying movies on prime and then losing them because they were removed off prime? 2 movies I really want to buy are basically only on prime right now but I’m worried if I buy them and they eventually get moved I’ll lose them
I'm scrolling all.the way on homepage to find my continue watching, it's usually on the very top so you can continue watching from where you've left off. Now I have to manually search the content and select it to continue watching.
Same thing on PrimeVideo in the phone as well. What a nightmare of UI/UX
I have an Amazon Prime trial for another few days. What’re some absolute MUST watches that I can only find on there before the trial runs out? I’ve been scrolling through it for days and just can’t seem to find anything.
I’m into horror, big on found footage but not really into sci-fi or zombies or disease outbreak types. I know Shudder, Found and Tubi are the best sources, just looking for new stuff I haven’t yet seen. I’ve seen the classics like Hell House, Deb Logan, The Grudge, etc.; seen Obsession and Hokum.
Other genres of movies and shows are also welcome. Thank you!! 😊
I wanted to post this on the peacock page because it’s mainly that streaming service that does this but they won’t approve it. Assuming that it’s because it’s kind of a rant, so I apologize in advance. My main reason for posting this is to find like minded people who don’t like this feature and maybe someone has found a way to shut it off.
OLD POST: It’s not just peacock that does this, but it actually pisses me off an unreasonable amount. Does anyone know if there is a way to shut it off?
HBO does this too and I can shut it off BUT it also shuts off every auto play, so it won’t play a random new show but it also won’t play the next episode of the current show I’ll be watching. If that’s how it is on peacock as well, it’s annoying but I’d rather do that than have show after show get added to my continue watching.
P.S. peacock if you’re reading this, take a fucking note from Netflix.
I don't know if it's just me but it seems everytime i start watching a movie and want to watch the others they all become buy or rent immediately, take Spiderman for example, Ive watched them all except tom Hollands version and I finished the amazing Spider-Man 2 a couple of days ago, went back into it today and every single Spiderman was buy or rent, it seems like a curse I have, wondering if anyone else had this issue because it did upset me quite a bit
Both have that fun teen-with-powers setup: supernatural enemies, school-life stress, action, comedy, and a main character trying to live normally while ghosts/demons refuse to mind their business.
I’m referring to a very popular movie and if you know a movie I’m talking about and you were a fan when he first came out if you did not know or have not seen it yet Amazon Prime has a new show out from when she was in high school I have not finished the first episode, but from what I seen on the preview, I wanna know people thoughts of how this show is gonna turn out. Do we think it’s gonna be a horrible attempt to recreate very popular movie with Reese Witherspoon? Or do you think that it’s gonna turn out just as good as the movies? Besides the fact, Reese Witherspoon is not in the show? I want to hear people thoughts
I'm only looking at movies to watch not TV series as I only have until July 5th I believe.
I'm fine with shorter end movies (like 1 hr 20 min-ish) and longer (2+ hrs)
I don't like anime-type or dubbed or non-English or reading subtitles too much (it's fine if they speak another language for a bit, I could stand subtitles for a small part not the whole movie)
I like comedies, adventures, fantasy, or mystery with a slight dislike towards but not completely against action, thriller, science fiction and drama. I'm not very huge on criminalistic or wartime action movies, sports-related movies and I hate musicals and Westerns. Most horror movies are pretty laughable to me.
I don't mind romance but as I'm gay I'd rather watch gay MLM romance movies and not so much hetero romance but I don't know if there are many movies like that that don't require me to rent/buy. I only got Amazon Prime for Spider Noir and Red, White and Royal Blue so I don't have money to throw around to rent or buy. The movies I want to (re)watch are all rent or buy.
My memory is like a goldfish so I'm fine with re-watching something as it's probably been years since I last saw it as my mind has holes in the plot that I can't remember how it got from there to there.
I'm traveling in Japan right now but "The Boys" in my Amazon Prime Video App shows unavailable. Gen V and other TV shows play just fine. Is it region locked? Didn't find any other post about this issue. My account is US based.
