Has anybody noticed that if you stop a movie and continue watching it later, they add more ad breaks back in?

I started watching the 007 movies last night now that they're on Prime. I got through 2 of 4 ad breaks and decided to go to bed and finish today.

When I resumed the movie today, I had 3 ad breaks remaining one of which was in a spot where no ad break was shown yesterday.

So out of curiosity, I started another movie right after knowing I wouldn't finish it in one sitting. Again, I made it through 2 of 4 ad breaks and, now that I'm resuming the movie later, there's 3 to go one of which is in a new spot.

I have ads on pretty much every streaming service now but I have never seen the other services manipulate the ad break locations to make sure you watch a minimum number of breaks each time you hit play.

Landlord is willing to allow a month-to-month lease (at my request) but only if I commit to staying for the next 4 months?

I'm in Ohio (US-OH). Our lease renewal is coming up. We originally planned to move out at the end of this year long lease, but then life came up and we also never really found a place we wanted to move to that would have been better than our current place.

I recently asked if the landlord would allow a month-to-month lease (so we can keep shopping around to move out). I was just told by the management company that she would allow month-to-month "as long as we don't move out between November and February" which essentially would mean that she expects us to stay for a minimum of four months after we go "month-to-month."

Does this make any sense? Can this even be legally dictated by an owner? I guess it can if it's in writing on the lease agreement? I have heard of having to give 60 days notice for a move-out, but i have never heard of requiring a 120 day commitment at the start of a month-to-month lease.

I'm still waiting to find out what this "month-to-month" amount would be in contrast with a 6 month lease (which has been allowed in the past) or a 1 year lease to see if this even makes sense to go this route financially.

Edit: There's a general consensus in the comment. I get it. Y'all can stop commenting with the same repeated feedback.

Point of no return in Holloway Manor?

I turned the cane in and got the living room door opened to see the cutscene. This feels like a point of no return. Is that correct?

I still haven't opened the safe or solved the seance. I also have an occult chest missing a key. Do I need to reload my earlier save to keep working on those things?

Does anybody know of the free Icee reward can be used towards the Butterbeer flavor of my location gets it?

When they had the Butterbeer Icee flavor last year, did anybody successfully use points on it or was it considered a special drink or something that prevented the points being used towards it?

For the people who are upset that Sinking City 2 is a "clone" of Resident Evil 2 or Silent Hill instead of being "original" like Sinking City 1...

Did you all know that Sinking City 1 was itself a "clone" of Frogwares' own Sherlock Holmes games?

If you miss the gameplay of Sinking City 1, give the Sherlock Holmes games a try. I imagine the primary reason why they shifted to survival horror on Sinking City 2 was because they thought the genre would sell better.

If you want more games like Sinking City 1, you best be supporting their next Holmes game. 🤷‍♂️

What is the point of the DLC weapon skins if you can't equip the upgrade parts to them?

Huge oversight. Also very dumb that once my ammo is loaded into the dlc gun, I can't remove it to load it to the equivalent gun that now has an upgrade.

Need information/advice regarding CPAP machine gifted to me.

I did a sleep study and found out that I have mild sleep apnea. My dad, who also has sleep apnea, had an extra Phillips machine (looks to be Dreamstation 2 as the model). Apparently Phillips has a recall on their machines (Dreamstation 1?) and this was the replacement my dad got but he didn't need it because he had already switched to another machine.

I informed the sleep study office that I had a machine but just needed the parts squared away. I have tried out a mask my dad gave me but would prefer to try others and use my insurance towards the mask/parts. The office seemed unsure if the DME companies near me would even service Phillips machines due to the recall (which doesn't make sense to me since this is the non-recalled model).

Because in skipping the step of using my insurance through their office to get a machine, this is where I am getting confused. It sounds like my next step is to call my insurance and see if they will cover parts and then from there start calling around to local DME companies to figure out how I can locally take my prescription to to get the parts for the Phillips machines.

So, my confusion is this. Do I need to take the prescription to a local company for parts? Can I buy the parts online? Is there a disadvantage to one or the other? Is using a gifted machine like this even worth it to save money? Should I be avoiding this Phillips machine because of the recall of the previous model?

I am also confused on what my next step is when I'm squared away. I know I need to have an appointment with the sleep office annually to keep getting the prescription to get the new parts, but I'm unclear on how my appointment next year would even work if they aren't monitoring my machine use? I asked about if the machine needs a chip installed for that, but she said that was only for if I'm leasing a new machine so that the insurance will keep covering it which I guess doesn't apply if the machine is just already owned by me?

Sorry to ask so many questions but I figured maybe some of you guys can see me straight on some of this because the discussions with the sleep office have only been somewhat informative. Obtaining my own machine seems to be highly out of the ordinary to the point of them not really fully knowing how to guide me.

Bottleworks hotel or go somewhere else?

My wife and I are looking to stay in Indianapolis over Labor Day weekend. (It's about 2 hours from home). The plan is to go to the State Museum on the Sunday, spend the night in/near Indy, and then go back to the museum at noon the next day to watch The Odyssey on the IMAX screen. (Already bought those tickets).

I'm looking at hotels in Indy and Bottleworks seems to be the most recommended. I think we will really like the food garage and coffee shop that they promote on their website, so this seems like a good option.

So, I have a few questions:

  1. I saw Bottleworks charges $48 for valet parking. I haven't looked too far into it, but I haven't really found any other overnight parking info just yet, but at a quick glance, it almost seems like other parking is just as expensive, so i may as well just do the valet, right? Or are there better options?

  2. Any bed and breakfast style hotels in/near you would recommend instead? Or any other better options in general?

  3. Minor thing, but anybody know if the coffee shop adjacent to Bottleworks (Blue Collar Coffee Co) would be closed on Labor Day?

  4. Anything else you would recommend in Indy for people who like to visit museums? Not really interested in clubs/bars or the zoo. We could look at making our trip Saturday through Monday, but so far Sunday/Monday may be good enough for us.

Grilled chicken sandwich used strips instead of a patty?

I didn't think to take a picture of it, but I just ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and, naturally, I expected a chicken breast similar to what you would get from, say, Chick-fil-A. (I think I have ordered one in the past and got that. This is also what is pictured). What I got was a bunch of grilled chicken strips (like, what would be put on a Caesar salad) on my bun...

Should I complain? I mean, it tasted fine, but I'm just confused on if this is a new thing that they're doing or what.

On a different note, I also ordered burger sliders and the taste of those seemed like a downgrade from what I remember them tasting like in the past. Tasted like those fake grill marks they used to have on burgers in my highschool cafeteria.

Edit:

Thinking about it more, I had a chicken snack wrap a few months ago and just saw a photo of one of those and even that chicken was of better quality than what was presented to me tonight. I'm 99% sure he took the salad chicken and put it on a bun.

Looking for Social Deduction games with active public lobbies

I play on PlayStation and Steam. I currently play First Class Trouble but I'm looking to further scratch the itch. I also currently have Town of Salem 2 but haven't touched it in so long so I don't really remember all the roles and it would take me awhile to jump back into it. I'm ultimately looking for something less complex.

I had a good time with Werewolves Within VR back when it was active. Eville was also fun when active. The Death Note game was promising when it released day 1 on PS+, but it had too many issues (such as lobbies disbanding if one person quit) so I just completely gave up on that one.

Everything else I have found on the Steam store that looks promising when looking just a moment ago seems to be too new to have a playerbase and/or only seems to really be catered to private lobbies with friends.

Any suggestions? I would love something simple like Werewolves Within VR that plays just like Ultimate Werewolf or Mafia. Town of Salem is the closest I have found to that, but it is really just too complicated for its own good.

Dear Dropout, lets get you a Darwin Award next year

The rules state "If there are nine or fewer qualifying deaths submitted in any category, the Executive Committee may Recommend to the Board of Governors that no award be given in that category for the current award year."

So you're telling me if Dropout funds elaborate booby traps to trick cast members into really stupid premature deaths, they are basically guaranteed to win a Darwin Award as long as we kill off at least nine of them? Talk about a great marketing opportunity. We just need to decide who to sacrifice.

The 1988 musical Puss in Boots stars Christopher Walken as the titular cat in human form. This is a reference to how I just want y'all to know this movie exists.
