Vertical camera - Horizontal 2x Anamorphic 1.12x1

Anyone have any experience with the above setup? I’m really interested in something like this as almost all my deliverables are in that 1:1 to 4:3 range. I want to avoid straight mounting the anamorphic vertically because I want the horizontal characteristics.

I literally cannot find anything online though. I just want to see some example images before I drop a ton of money on a 2x (thinking Blazar Cato 55), and then some more on gear to have a vertical rig setup. I currently have an FX3

This is the look I want. I do all my unreal engine work with this exact setup, 25.54mm by 36.7mm 2x de squeezed and I want to be able to replicate it in real life. I just am curious if anyone’s ever had experience with it

Blazar Remus vs Mantis 50mm

We've had some good fun finally comparing the Remus and Mantis from Blazar back to back, truly trying to understand the differences between these optics.

We have a lot deeper dives that are available to be seen on CineTraits in the next week or two, But both have definitely unique characteristics that make them stand out.

I personally prefer the mantis overall a lot more, but I definitely can't get enough of That Remus look with With the bokeh on the edges getting so overcorrected, I do love that look. While the mantis remains pretty smooth with just a bit of green fringing around the bokeh, I also really wasn't a fan of that silver flair because the streak look is not my favourite anamorphic character but it's really grown on me. But the Remus definitely is a streak machine, So if you're not a fan of streaks, the mantis will give you much more anamorphic optically looking flares, not relying on artificial looking streaks to achieve the anamorphic flare.
