I have decided to let my membership cancel on the 7th this month and take a step back here. I have been playing for over a decade and had a lot of fun overall, except this year things have changed.

People are so rude. I find myself no longer interacting with others in the game. I literally got harassed by a group of 4-5 people after declining a trade and they said some pretty gross things to me, even with the chat filters. Other times I get completely ignored. Most interactions are negative and petty.

I have seen absolutely DISGUSTING things that grown adults are openly discussing in a kids game, wayyy too frequently. "Lick my boy kitty" WTFFF?? the game is filled with these awful attention seekers. Also, People thinking they own the game because they have 3 HD'S. People expecting overtrades and selling in store items for dims, bringing me to my next point.

The shop advertising. I am a big fan of shops only due to the fact I can cut out the shocking toxicity of trading with people. However, now the whole game is bloated with bots advertising unorganized and overpriced shops. The sheer amount of accounts that are only on to advertise their shops are crazy. It is actually impossible to find people talking and interacting outside the Pillow Room and sometimes parties.

Honorable mention to bots and hackers that just constantly are fucking with the game, usually harmlessly but yesterday I got the JAG spam from default bots and it kinda sent me over the edge.

Most of all, item collection isn't even fun or meaningful when the community is so toxic and bot-filled you can't even show off the items or your outfits. The core part of the game lost its value to me due to other issues adding up. The lack of genuine interaction in an essentially chat room based game is killing it for me. Why am I even collecting items?

Grinding TFD was my favorite part of the game since TFD released honestly, plus it's super nostalgic to me. It sucks that it is member only but I can't justify paying for just that. I will miss my eagle, but I can play other grindy games where there's actually a point to it and a reward.

There isn't much to do when you're NM so I don't expect I will be on much anymore. It's been sad to see the game get neglected and go so far downhill overall. This game will always have a nostalgic place in my heart, but a lot of that sheen has sadly worn off for me now with the current state of things.

I went to change the color of my wolf, and it changed the swatch of my headphones?? I only have the blue ones pictured, and when I click out of it, it goes back to the normal blue swatch. Super weird!

i play animal jam on the macbook neo and i have received this pop up the last few times ive been playing. i have since done some googling on it and it basically means animal jam will not be supported on macbooks future updates due to AJ running on rosetta that apple want to phase out.. do we think they will update/sort out the game to be able to still run on macbooks?

Never seen this glitch before but it's HILARIOUS! This member fearsome falcon joined us in Forgotten Desert, and when we loaded in, they somehow showed up as a nonmember phantom still with the fearsome falcon pattern! When they moved, they even made the phantom noises!

been seeing these bots in the pillow room of nonmember animals saying weird messages one after the other, asking people to offer for items on their list- but then they have nothing on their list. or they will type in peoples usernames and complement them- like “bugbucket, your candy cane socks are so cute :3”. they say these messages over and over, and then will trade random people in the room and offer a bunch of stuff that’s way over worth for something that rlly isn’t valuable.

a friend told me these are bots, and that you shouldn’t interact with them in any way. i did not know this- one of them traded me, i accepted, but got suspicious and declined it before it could go through. do i need to be concerned about my account now????

like what even if this bro why are so many people botting this game. but its also scary bc the way these bots r talking literally sounds exactly like EVERYONE ELSE, its so frightening

Just wanted to share my small dens that I’ve decorated so far, I mostly play animal jam these days to decorate so I’ve collected a lot of den items over the years hahah.
I’m not sure which one is my favorite… either way, pls tell me which one is your fav!
I might try and screenshot some bigger dens I’ve decorated as well and share them with you all!

Earlier, I was attending a fashion show, and about halfway through, a player named 'spookyspeedometer' joined and very quickly left. A few minutes later, everyone in the den was flooded with ~250 jags from monkey bots saying 'Do you want to play a game?', causing our games to crash. The fashion show was put on hold for quite a while as the host was getting spammed with friend requests by these bots, which was stopping them from using their account. The troller returned, and hid at the bottom of the den dancing, but left after a little while, probably because we caught their username. They then switched to another account named 'artsyhammers' and, again, ran to hide at the bottom of our screens. If that was their attempt at hiding their username so we can't report them, it was terrible. We then moved into another player's den to avoid all of this, where we finished the show with the host on an alt account. Luckily, nothing else has happened since then, and the host's main account has stopped being bothered.

Wowee, I am spooked! What a terrifying incident! I'm not sure what this person/group of people's goal is, but if they're trying to scare the community, I hope they know we think this is hilariously cringe lmao. And if they're just trying to be a bother, that is quite a miserable thing to do in your spare time. I think the best thing to do if you come across one of these accounts is to not interact or give them the reaction they're looking for. Even if we're throwing insults at them, it's still attention for them. And if they join your den, make sure to turn off your jags and buddy requests as soon as possible!

Update: About an hour later, the host started another fashion show, and it got crashed by bots again. This time, everyone had jags and buddy requests turned off, but still got their game crashed. No-one caught a username this time, unfortunately. I'm not sure if there's any way to prevent this unless AJHQ takes action :(

So everything on my acc is from 2016 and before because I quit Aj back around 2017ish but i bought a lot of irl things for the game like the toys that they had that let you get in game stuff, also i would like to know what some of my pets are worth and other items because i haven't played in so long idk what anything is worth, but i do really want a black spiked collar(long) and my goal is to collect all OG spikes, and a headdress red or something similar.I have even more pets than this i have toucans, chickens bees a bunch of phantoms etc. i also have a lot of old items i have all worns, fox hats, bows, etc. I have all candy cane socks, yeti claw etc
