Lost Armenian Architecture։ Հովիւի եկեղեցին Church of the Shepherd
The church bore no inscriptions and its history remains unknown. It came to be known as the Church of the Shepherd through a local legend, which tells of a shepherd who commissioned its construction after his wife complained that the other churches in Ani were too crowded and noisy for quiet prayer.
Despite its modest size, the church featured a remarkably sophisticated design. Externally, it was articulated into three distinct sections, while internally it consisted of two floors. The structure stood approximately 11 meters high and measured about 7 meters in diameter at its base.

Monthly Update: Armenian Games App (New "Հավաքել նկարները" puzzle mode, seeking your photos & ideas!)

A while ago I posted here about my Armenian Games app, and you guys gave me really encouraging feedback. If it's okay with everyone, I’d love to share a small progress update here once a month. I promise to keep it to just one post a month so I don't spam the subreddit.
Right now, the game is available in Eastern Armenian and English. For the June update, I just added a few new things:
- "Հավաքել նկարները" (Assemble the Pictures): A new puzzle mode where you can piece together pictures of Armenian art, landmarks, and cultural heritage.
- New photo backgrounds: You can now unlock shop backgrounds of Yerevan, Gyumri, Sevan, Vanadzor, and Haghpat.
- Fixes and performance: Made the game load faster and fixed the star ratings bug in the letter match game.
I would really love to get your input on what to add next, especially since I want to make the game better for the Diaspora:
- Western Armenian (coming in July): I am planning to add Western Armenian next month. If you speak Western Armenian or are from the Diaspora, what kind of words, games, or cultural themes would make the app most interesting or useful for you?
- Send your photos: If you have any high-quality photos of your city or town (in Armenia, Artsakh, or the Diaspora) and want to see them as a puzzle or background in the game, let me know!

Irish failure to recognise Armenian genocide due to "no international consensus" which suddenly ceases to be an issue with Gaza

Then there is this....

So Ireland refuses to recognize the Armenian, Assyrian and Greek genocides on a technicality while fighting to get Gaza recognized in international court. Suddenly the technicality that prevents recognition of our genocides dissapears with Gaza.
This is a trend I am noticing right now. Turkey invaded and began colonizing and occupying Cyprus during my patents life time. But nobody seems mad about it? Three genocides, massacres, pogroms, etc. None stop cultural destruction.
Turkey gets so little pushback on the horrific things it's done and is doing that they can condemn Isreal with a strait face and not get laughed out of the room.
Just to be clear, I know that not all Turkish people agree with the actions of their government

We need to publically shame and report pro genocidal content and make sure we shove this behavior in odars faces
Some more accounts that reddit allows and who openly support genocide, colonialism, and occupation.
The world is silent on Turkey's actions and a lot of Armenians are silent too. Cyprus is being colonized and occupied in real time. Where are we? We should be speaking out. We are all but silent.
Why aren't we standing up for Assyrians and Pontic Greeks? We should have their flags up during genocide memorial at bare minimum. This isn't just our fight but I feel like we have been acting like it.
We should be showing the world this behavior. We should be advocating for our righrs and the rights of other minorities in Turkey including right of return and spotlighting ongoing cultural genocide.
There are also Turkish people who are in danger of speaking out. They deserve to be safe too.
At Eurovision odars were protesting Isreal but had nothing to say about Azerbaijan ethnically cleansing us and a number of Armenians didn't seem to have much to say either. We let the world ignore our plight.
We let people walk all over us.
