Where to see enrollment/status for the "API Trading Promotion" ($100)?

Hi all,

I (think I) enrolled in the new API Trading Promotion (the one where you get $100 for a Qualifying Trade placed via the Trading API/MCP) and already completed a qualifying trade.

The promo banner ("Connect. Trade. Get $100") still shows on my Portfolio page even after enrolling and trading, and I can't find any page showing enrollment status, pending reward, or anything similar — Tori wasn't able to help either.

Does anyone know if there's actually a status/tracker page for this somewhere on the site or app? Or does the banner just not update and the reward only shows up once credited?

Thanks!

Katastrophaler Kundenservice. Sperrung meines Kontos

Ungerechtfertigt hat eToro mein Konto eingeschränkt und verifiziert nun nicht mehr, weshalb ich nicht mehr an mein Geld komme. Das ist Betrug.

Why can a withdrawal need extra checks even after verification?

Ok so something I have never quite understood is why a withdrawal can sometimes lead to additional verification when the account has already been verified.

If the identity checks were completed when the account was opened, what changes when someone later wants to withdraw their money?

Is the withdrawal itself treated as a separate check? And are there particular situations where eToro would normally need to ask for more information before releasing the funds?

I am not expecting details about specific cases, but a general explanation of why these checks can happen would make the whole process easier to understand.

Agent Portfolio API: amount and balance appear to be scaled by ~50x vs actual position value

I'm running an automated strategy against an Agent Portfolio via the public API (v2 unified order endpoint). I've hit an inconsistency between the values the API reports and what the app actually shows, and I'd like to understand whether this is expected behaviour or a known issue.

The setup is the following:

- Agent Portfolio funded with roughly $200

- Orders placed via `POST /api/v2/trading/execution/orders`

- Portfolio read via `GET /api/v1/trading/info/portfolio`

I observe:

  1. The portfolio endpoint reports a `credit` value about 50x higher than the amount I actually funded. A portfolio funded with a couple hundred dollars reports a five-figure balance.

  2. I submitted a market buy with `amount: 50` and `orderCurrency: "usd"`. The order executed successfully, but the resulting position is worth **$1**, not $50. The app shows a fraction of a share consistent with a $1 notional at the instrument's current price — exactly 1/50th of what I requested.

  3. Oddly, the reported `credit` decreased by ~51 units after that order (50 plus what looks like a fee) — so the balance figure moves on the *scaled* axis while the actual position value does not. The two are not consistent with each other.

My questions are:

- Are `amount` and `credit` on Agent Portfolios expressed in a unit other than account currency? If so, where is the conversion documented?

- If this is a display/reporting bug, is a fix in progress? I'd rather not hardcode a 50x multiplier in my client and then have it break when the values are corrected.

Also: the `mock=true` query parameter, which works on the v1 execution endpoints, appears to be silently ignored on the v2 unified order endpoint — the order executes for real and returns a live `orderId`. If that's expected, it would be worth documenting explicitly, since it's an easy way to place unintended live orders while testing.

Happy to provide request IDs, order IDs and timestamps privately to anyone from eToro who can look into it. Not posting them here for obvious reasons.

Anyone else running an Agent Portfolio seeing the same scaling?

ACWI.PA

I have a problem. ACWI.PA ETF is closed for several weeks and I can’t buy or sell any position. When I finally connect with a real person, he said that ETORO doesn’t have liquidity and he didn’t know when it will be open again.

Can u give me some more information, mainly about when the ETF will be open again so my positions can be closed?

Thank you team ETORO.

Problems with trading instruments

Can someone please explain to me why I could not buy any LSE stocks / etfs on eToro today after opening? For example, I was only able to buy IUIS.L about 6 minutes after the market opened, and now I can't trade it again. I couldn't buy Unilever at all either. I feel like these issues have been happening repeatedly lately, and I find it unacceptable. On top of that, eToro platform often display completely incorrect prices during after-hours trading (not even the closing pprice). It really starts to make you worry… so many errors.

As someone mentioned here:

Vusa.nv is the same situation

This is starting to be very dangerous. How can I trust your platform if I buy something and then can't be sure I'll be able to sell it?

Thanks for reopening the market, at least :).

How long does an account review on eToro usually take?

I have been using etoro for a while and haven't had any issues with my account so far, but I've seen quite a few posts about accounts suddenly going into review.

I have always wondered what actually happens once that starts. Is there a usual timeframe for these reviews, or does it depend on what needs to be checked?

And if everything is fine with the account, does the review normally get cleared once the checks are done, or can users be asked to provide additional documents or information?

I think I would be pretty nervous if I suddenly saw my account was under review without knowing what to expect, so having a better idea of how the process works would be helpful.

Being able to press “Buy” or “Sell” doesn't make someone an investor, just as owning a stethoscope doesn't make someone a doctor

Do you publish any statistics on how many of your active users remain profitable over the long term?

How easy is it for a beginner to access margin and futures on eToro?

Before online brokers, mobile apps, and CFD platforms made the markets extremely accessible, advanced products such as futures, options, and leveraged trading were effectively dominated by professional players, institutions, and experienced traders. The barrier to entry was much higher for ordinary individuals.

Trading apps have created a generation of retail investors who can easily mistake access to financial markets for actual investment knowledge. You can download an app, deposit a few hundred euros and start trading complex products within minutes. The interface makes everything look simple, while the underlying risks are anything but simple. The dangerous part is that the easier trading becomes, the easier it is for inexperienced users to develop an unjustified sense of confidence. There should be much more emphasis on whether users actually understand what they're trading, rather than simply whether they can pass a basic onboarding questionnaire.
