i hate spectrum like what do they even do any sort of weather poof wifi gone

As soon as I came to work today i was told to go home for the day because they think business will be slow because of how bad the weather was. It was raining heavy and it was also windy at the same time. Then later they texted me that they told EVERYONE else at my store to go home too for the day cause of the weather. But i saw a bunch of other places were still open like mcdonalds, zaxbys, goodwill... all of them were still open.

So, I was introduced to DnD late in my life. I started playing an online game with my oldest child and some friends during Covid. I joined in the middle of the campaign, and we had a fun time getting into trouble. I then played with that group in the next campaign, but life got super busy and I had to leave after we finished that story arc. I love the game, and I have a ridiculous amount of time on my hands after losing my partner.

I'm hoping that there might be an in person group (I've never had the opportunity to play face to face with people) that would be willing to accept a kinda newbie player in their campaign/group? I know that a lot of groups are close knit friends, and I don't want to disturb any group dynamics. If anyone is willing to take a chance on a mid 40s intermediate player please DM me. I'm willing to go through whatever vetting the group needs to feel comfortable adding a complete stranger to the game.

Hi! this isn’t the weekly complaint thread about parking I promise.

I’m a townie taking an online class right now, and for one of my projects I’m looking at people’s experiences with paid parking systems. Given how much parking comes up around here, I thought this would be a pretty topical place to ask. I’m collecting survey data about experiences with paid parking. Should only take 5 or so minutes.

A couple notes:

18+ only due to ethics standards.

You do not need to have successfully paid for parking before or need to own a smartphone.

All kinds of experiences are welcome, I’d really love to get a diverse range of perspectives rather than just hearing from people who use mobile parking regularly, know how to use it, or like it! This might be a stretch but does anyone know if there are any places in Athens that have free air pumps for tires? I might have a slow leak and don’t want to keep paying for air until I can get it looked at. Thanks in advance!

Alright folks. I’ve heard enough from my fellow eastside friends about wanting a family friendly place to hang out and have a beer (something like Athentic). With the assumption that there is a need and want to have such a place (note there are 3 separate SFH developments under construction right now on the Eastside), where on the Eastside could this actually pop up? I’m guessing somewhere on the Barnett Shoals/Gaines School corridor, but would love to hear other opinions. This is wishful thinking but perhaps could be a fun discussion.
