Metal Handicrafts Business

Hey everyone,
Wanted to share something close to home (literally). My family runs a metal handicrafts business out of Moradabad, India — which is basically the brass capital of the country — and we’ve been manufacturing and exporting home decor for years.
I want to expand into the Indian retail market. Would love any advice or leads to begin.
Everything’s handcrafted: hammered brass vases, wrought-iron planters, Moroccan-style lanterns, antique-finish candelabras, colorful garden pots. We also take on custom work — if you’re a small business, designer, or retailer looking for something specific, we can develop pieces to spec (we do this for export clients already).
Would genuinely love feedback from this community, and happy to connect with anyone in home decor retail, interior design, or import/export.

Looking for distributors - crazy incentives

Looking for FMCG Distributors & Wholesalers for AMBER

Hey everyone,

We’re building AMBER, a new Indian FMCG brand focused on simple, familiar products with a better twist.

Our current products:

• Coffee Honey and Moringa Honey

• Honey Amla Murabba

We’re currently looking to partner with FMCG distributors, wholesalers, stockists, and retailers across India who are interested in adding a differentiated food brand to their portfolio.

We’re offering strong distributor margins + crazy incentives for partners who can help us scale distribution.

We’re still early, so if you have an existing distribution network, wholesale business, grocery/retail network, or simply know the FMCG game well, we'd love to connect.

Drop a comment or DM me. Happy to share the catalogue, pricing, margins and partnership details.

Would also love to hear from people who have experience scaling food/FMCG brands in India.

I invested ₹2.25 lakh into an ice cream business that lasted 4 batches… now I’m stuck with a 10L batch freezer

Honestly, I never thought I’d be making a Reddit post trying to sell an ice cream machine(Left).

A while ago, someone who was already in the ice candy business approached me with an idea to start an ice cream business together. He told me he had experience in the business and knew how to make ice cream, so I thought it was a decent opportunity.

I decided to trust him and invested around ₹2.25 lakh into the setup, which included this 10L continuous batch freezer with a built-in air churner.

The problem started once we actually began.
We made around four batches of ice cream, and that’s when I realised that a lot of the things I had been told about his experience and ability to make ice cream simply weren’t working out in reality.

Eventually, he told me he was going to take his ice-candy-making machine back to his place and that he didn’t want to continue with the partnership.
And that’s basically how I ended up here.

I was prepared to invest in a business and learn the ice cream side of it, but I wasn’t planning on owning an ice cream machine by myself. Now the partnership is over, I’m left with a machine that I don’t really have a use for, and I’d rather recover some of my investment by selling it to someone who actually needs one.

About the machine
It’s a 10L continuous batch freezer with an air churner, and it was used for only around four batches.
It can be used for ice cream, gelato, kulfi and other frozen desserts.

Details:
Machine: Continuous batch freezer
Capacity: 10 L finished ice cream
Approx. mix-to-output: 5 L mix → up to approximately 10 L finished product at 100% overrun
Air churner: Built-in
Refrigeration: Air-cooled
Compressors: Godrej
Motor: Godrej
Compressor/motor warranty: Manufacturer stated 10 years
Body: Jindal Stainless steel
Front: Pressure gauge, digital timer/display, indicator lights and operating controls
Phase: Single

It’s obviously not a brand-new machine anymore, but considering it has only been used for a few batches, I don’t think it has had anywhere close to normal commercial use.

I’m posting here because I figured someone who is already making ice cream, gelato, kulfi, etc. might actually find it useful.

I’m not trying to hide the reason I’m selling it — this was supposed to be part of a business I was investing in, the partnership didn’t work out, and now I need to move the machine on.

Location: Delhi,India
Expected price: ₹1,15,000

I’ll share proper photos and a working video with anyone genuinely interested. You’re also welcome to inspect the machine before making any decision.
If anyone here is interested, or knows someone looking for a 10L commercial/continuous batch freezer with an air churner, feel free to DM me.

Offering my marketing system free for portfolio.

Hi

I got fired because I was building a side hustle on company time. I went all in on the hustle and decided to launch it as a business.

I basically put all my thoughts and knowledge about marketing including insights I picked up in my sales career and made a system of all these heuristics, frameworks etc that I pulled thoughts later researched. I then created it into an AI system wrapping it into skills and agents sitting in sequence and consuming output from the layer above as context.

I can onboard 5 clients. I'm not asking for your money, just your word and something to show the ones who would pay.

New clothing business

Oki Ik online clothing stores are dime a dozen these days. I have a pretty well paying soul sucking corporate job so this is more like a side hustle and I might eventually run an actual shop on the top floor of my husband's building if I feel secure enough. The problem is I don't think I'll be able to travel to Surat anytime soon so my closest option is bnglr. I have already order around 4k worth of clothes from a seller via WhatsApp.. let's see how that turns out. I may not be able to travel to blr until beginning of next year.

So my dear cocos...do you have any trusted sources? Pls dm me or mention in the comments.. help out a sis.. i do realise you might see me as competition.. so help me out only if you want to.. dont have to feel guilty if you don't want to

Jewelry manufacturer in India looking to enter the US B2B & B2C market – need guidance

Looking for some guidance for a jewelry manufacturer based in India who wants to enter the US B2B and B2C market. They manufacture gold, diamond, silver and gemstone jewelry.

What is the best way to enter the US market? What paperwork, licenses, certifications or import requirements are needed? For B2B, how can they connect with retailers, wholesalers or distributors in the US? For B2C, what are the best channels to start selling that actually work?

Any leads, suggestions or guidance from people familiar with the US jewelry market would be appreciated.

24M Mechatronics Engineer + MBA — what businesses could I realistically start with my experience?

I’m 24M, with a B.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering and recently completed an MBA in Entrepreneurship.

I recently quit my job after 2 years at a small manufacturing company where I worked on oil/coolant filtration systems and machine design. I was also given a project to redesign around 8–10 foreign machines for Indian manufacturing, which I had to handle largely on my own without a proper team or resources.

During my MBA, I started a 3D printing business as my project business. I designed the website, worked on custom products, dealt with customers and after-sales, and handled the operations. I also designed and built my own small filament extrusion machine to manufacture filament for personal use.

So I have some experience across mechanical design, manufacturing, 3D printing, customer handling and operations.

Now that I’ve left my job, I’m exploring whether I should start a business rather than take another engineering job.

What businesses would you suggest someone with this background explore?

I’m particularly interested in B2B manufacturing, industrial products, engineering services, automation, prototyping or niche manufacturing, rather than just starting another generic 3D printing service.

I’d especially like to hear from people who have actually started small manufacturing/engineering businesses in India:

What niches have good demand?

What can realistically be started with limited capital?

Is starting with a service and moving into products a better approach?

What businesses would you avoid?
