Hey guys, looking to buy my first bmw, hoping to keep it around for a while so figured i’d go all in (mostly) on an m3 which has been my dream. I’m going to buy used because I’m not yet ballin enough to ignore the new car depreciation. The problem is that whereas if I were buying new I could just choose the options I want and forego the others, buying used has me comparing and contrasting every detail of the cars ie. price, miles, maintenance records, coloring, and options. I’m having a bad case of choice paralysis. If you guys could give me your thoughts on the cars i’m eying, maybe point out something i may have missed, and help me narrow down the options i’ll be forever grateful. Hi, I’m looking to order a 2027 m4 in British Racing Green but I don’t see it anymore on bmw individualizer for m4 and bmwuk configurator doesn’t have it. I’m not in the uk but check the site to see the individual colors. Can anyone confirm if the color is available or not for the 2027 bmw model. Thanks

Any of you guys opt to change the Transmission fluid on your 6MT at the break-in even though it isn't recommended by BMW?

I need to be deinfluenced in getting the g87 m2.

The f87 has finally reached affordable levels where I'm from and was pretty set on getting it. However, after reading a lot of posts around here, most especially from those who had gone from the f87 to the g87, most seem to be happy with their decision to upgrade.

My use case is that this will be a somewhat of a daily, with my wife driving it half the time. We both want a fun coupe that isn't too compromised for daily activities. We already have a more practical other car, but I would like this car to not be such a major inconvenience for her.

We both have no prior experience driving any high-powered sports cars so I had second thoughts about how safe a RWD m2 is going to be if we get around 6 months/year of rain. I'm also wondering how finicky the DCT will be in stop and go traffic.

I guess the question here is, will the DCT pre LCI f87 m2 be a good fit for us given the circumstances, or are we better off holding off a bit and getting the RWD or perhaps the xdrive g87? Will the xdrive be significantly safer compared to the rwd g87?

We don't really plan on doing track days, and we will likely never sell the vehicle once we acquire it.

I'd like to hear your thoughts, what would you pick in this situation?

If you had the opportunity to keep any generation or model of BMW project car and were required to maintain it for the next 20 years, which one would you choose?

Considering practicality, such as the availability of parts and aftermarket support, as well as ease of maintenance, meaning fewer electronic components.

The used market value been hot in the US for both but which one hold more value

Ordered an M3 Comp XDrive in individual color with ivory bucket seats last week, got production number right away. Called BMW they say tentative build week is week 7 of next year? That doesn’t seem right, as individual should only add 8-12 weeks.

Anyone experience this before and get bumped up?

Hi so I was pulling to my drive way and I saw going pretty slow and then my engine turned off but the car was on. Is that a feature for the car?

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to order a car with an Individual color that isn’t available anymore (Atlantis Blue). I understand it is not available even on the Inidividual Configurator anymore, but can I put in a special request? Or would I have to find, for example, a similar Porsche color currently in production and have them use that?
