Took her out for a spin today. Still smiles for miles. Next brakes and rotors all around and ready for summer drives.

Has anyone here had their lower bumper gloss black trim grazed by a curb or footpath? Any advice on fixing it would be appreciated. The car has full front PPF, but the film only covers the trim to its edge, unfortunately. The car is only just over a month old, so I'm a bit gutted!
I know it’s still early, but I put a refundable deposit down with my dealer for the upcoming electric M3.
I’m curious if anyone else here has done the same, or if most people are waiting until BMW officially opens orders/shows the production version.
For me, it’s the first future BMW in a while that really feels like something I’d want to keep long term, assuming the production car stays reasonably close to the concept and the pricing isn’t completely insane.
Anyone else on a dealer list yet?
Tagged G80/G81 because there isn’t an electric/Neue Klasse M3 option yet.
Pretty nice M3 comp pre lci touring. Was parked at the palace at Versailles. Anyone sure what the exteior color is?
Full satin PPF and ceramic coating. Carbon effect PPF roof. 1000m alloys. M3cs headlights. H&R springs. Spacers. Anniversary badges. Carbon CT steering wheel and a few other bits and bobs from the M Performance catalogue.
I’m looking to buy my first M car, 21 year old male coming from a 5.7 tundra, how risky is this purchase? 3 owners virtually no service records at all but the dealer is willing to pay for a PPI wherever I want to go if I put down the deposit for the car. They replaced rotors and pads and a leaking axle and are selling it for 40k. Comes with a AWE tuning catback exhaust and has the carbon fiber roof on it. I test drove it, super nice car, prolly gonna put 50% down so I can plenty plenty money for maintenance and whatnot. I live at home, just the no service records scares me but if the PPI comes clean from a very specialized place I should be good no? I don’t mind expensive maintenance I just don’t want a catastrophic repair obviously like turbos for example and then boom there’s goes 10k down extra immediately.
I currently have the 2020 m340i with the b58 engine.
I started looking at the M3 AWD. I live in New England. I don’t go out if it is snowing. I just want to be able to get home if it starts snowing.
I have a garage to keep it in. Does anyone have it where it snows? Could I have it has my only car? Now I use my car year round and I don’t have any issues. Thank you for any feedback and or advice!
Looking at getting a CarBahn ECU tune (not piggyback) on my 26 m3 with 2300 miles on it, and paying the 1250 for the warranty. Had a few questions.
For those who got this tune, did you feel a TCU tune was necessary too? If it is, that voids the carbahn warranty, so puts a wrinkle in my plan.
Would you wait until like 5k (or more?) miles to make sure nothing goes wrong? How early would you tune? Wondering if i should wait til the next oil change to make sure it's not burning/leaking oil / nothing wrong out of the factory.
Anyone have experience if this warranty is actually honored, or if it's a huge fight between BMW and Carbahn's warrantier if something happens?
Anyone have experience with getting this insured? I've read if you get in an accident they can no-cover you. Right now my geico insurance is absurdly cheap (105 a month for full coverage), and worried that's going to double if I can't go through geico
I replaced the leaking rear mirror with a new replacement I got on eBay. It lasted about 2 years. The dim function still works. But the reflective seems like rusting away in an accellerated manner. It started about 3 weeks ago with very slim vertical lines. Now it's all over. Did anyone experience this? It's annoying if I have to replace this every two years.
I was going to try and get an allocation around August since I have my current car lease until June, but this deal is pretty good. 16k miles @ 70k. But the only thing is, the front hood looks a little weird like 1 side is higher than the other? Wondering what the community thinks.
I posted in this sub a few months ago when I was debating selling my F87 for an E46 M3 and committing to the life… Didn’t take me much to be convinced.
This is my Oxford Green E46 M3. It is a factory manual and also, a slicktop 👌
Oxford green was my dream color but given very few came to the US, I didn’t think I had any chance of getting one. Couldn’t even imagine finding a car like this.
Went way over budget but it is the perfect car for me. Not a collectors car, 100% mechanically sorted, and it will be used as it was made to be. (6weeks and I put 3k miles on it).
Modifications:
I put it on Ohlins and gave it a dinan cold air intake to hold me over till I go carbon airbox. Factory Style 67s, 15mm spacers all around. Keeping it “OEM”… for now
No pictures do this color justice, but if you want to see me try and figure it out, i’ll be sharing the journey as much as i can @mariim0o
Hello,
I've been always a fan of BMWs G20 platform since it was released (love B58). Was looking at buying one in 2023 but things came up and decided it was best to wait. I decided now is the time since my current car is having a few issues so I put an order for a custom new one which should arrive soon. I can of course walk away if I want too.
My question is, I have $50k +/- $10k to put down. After speaking with some people in person and online, they asked me why don't I consider an M3 with that money to put down? This leads into my situation now where with 50k down, I should be looking at around $885/mo for 72 months at 5% for a new M3 CxD. The M340i would be at $470/mo for 48 months at 5% (reason 48 because I would prob trade it in by then).
Insurance difference would be about $250/mo (M340) versus $410/mo (M3).
The positives:
The negatives:
What would you guys do in my shoes? Do you think the extra $$ in monthly payments / insurance is worth it? I guess I'm considering this now because when I said I have 50k to put down, I guess thats more than 50% of the people who just do $10k down lol.
Thanks!
