Back after 12 years away. Not the scrawny kid I once was lol slowly getting used to skating with this new body. Feels super weird. Maybe get to skate once a week if I’m lucky, but it’s been fun.

Was super shocked to see how wide boards had gotten when I went to get my setup. Ended up going with an 8.5 krooked cernicky deck. I can’t tell if it’s the concave throwing me off or the little tail, but something about it just isn’t comfortable. That could also just be me getting used to skating again.

My question is when did boards start getting all these new shapes and molds? I can’t remember looking into any of that back in the day, I just know I mainly messed with Baker.

E90 M3

Front tires corded and need to be replaced (along with an alignment). Rears have about 4/32" tread left on them. How bad is it to just replace the fronts for now? This car gets driven maybe 40 miles/week?

114k miles on the clock, drove perfectly fine to the destination. Once I got there, the car was refusing to turn off. I kept trying, but it wouldn’t. Finally, it did, however then it kept flashing between N and P. I got nervous, so I turned the car back on. This time, it went straight into engine start without my foot on the brake and on the first click (still flashing between P and N, sometimes showing no gear at all. It refused to go into R for more than a second before going back to flashing.

I left the car and came back hoping it would go back to normal. Nope. Finally got it into R and just stepped on it before it could flash back. It magically started working again.

About 5 mins into the drive, I got an ABS malfunction error. Car drove fine the whole way home. Busy so I haven’t had a chance to check on it again or try and get codes, but plan on doing so later tonight.

Any thoughts?

Anyone have a solid & somewhat quick warmup to help loosen up the body? I’m in much better shape now (way more muscle) than I was 12 years ago, but each time I step on the board I feel stiff as a board. Every time my feet hit the floor, I feel the years that have passed by lol it’s like my feet know exactly what they should be doing by my brain is ?????

About to start skating again after maybe a 12 year hiatus? Super excited, but also super nervous. Used to sprain my ankles constantly back in the day. Anyone have recommendations for something with solid ankle support? Used to skate sb dunk highs, but curious if there was anything better out there. Halfcabs were always my favorite, but I don’t think those will do now lol Thanks!
